Do we suck live and hate our fans? the haters have spoken. plus a decent interview.

Entonces, I've read a lot of fairly negative things concerning our live shows since we've posted these new ones.

Am I drunk at most of our shows? the answer is yes, usually. But when I play sober it is a strange and awkward experience for all I asure you. I must admit that after seven years of almost constant touring it has become harder for us to maintain the same enthusiasm that we had during our first couple of hundred shows, but we try.

I know that all of your bands are super awesome and that you give it 100% every night that you're onstage, so your criticisms really mean alot to us as you are all obviously our peers in this wacky punk-rock world of 60 day tours and such. Do we treat our fans like shit? I don't think so, but we have our moments. Maybe we got really bad news that day or we're not feeling that great. Maybe I'm losing my voice and I want to save it for the show. there are alot of things that we play through that other bands would sooner cancel their show and give you a bullshit excuse about that sounds important.

There are so many stupid and boring people out there and that's very hard for me to tolerate sometimes, but I will give you the benefit of the doubt even if you are asking me the same question that I have already been asked 50 times the same night. I was once in the situation of wanting to talk to people in bands that I really liked and I said some pretty contrived/embarassing shit, but that doesn't mean that you're stupid or boring. And stupid doesn't always = boring, it's usually only when the stupid person doesn't know or is in denial of their stupidity, some of the funniest people I know are none to bright, but they know and embrace this fact and I love them for it.

I know there are way too many shows where I get too wasted and mumble some stupid shit between
songs and then butcher the tune with what I probably think in my drunken head is an awesome performance. I promise to change my way of rocking and to be honest, about two years ago I was drinking, taking xanax and smoking alot of dust & this unholy trinity had a lot to do with my forgetting of lyrics and my lackluster acoustic performances. I am definitely getting dumber as I get older, but I have quit getting fucked up constantly, so I do think my singing and playing will improve from the last couple of years.
