Yesterday I was raised in the chaos of a raging blaze
and today I jumped into a puddle expecting a tidal wave
all in all I'll shrug "tommorow will be just like yesterday"
Wicked this rehashed life disguised as bliss
I'd slit my own throat if I thought I'd bleed another color
Waves collapse and I'll follow tune folding in two
between the tunnel and the light is where I reside
I struggled, oh how I struggled and sank
my conscious caught me and whispered words of grace
"Have faith, spread your arms palms up!"
Purity soaked my aching bones and mercy restored my weary heart
And in turn the horizon dipped under the moon
to reveal a ship that had returned home too soon
My God tommorow holds no promises
