Who else is looking forward to this? Dreamworks might not be the caliber of Pixar but their last couple of films (Bee Movie, Over the Hedge) have been pretty funny and enjoyable.

Of course dreamworks will say that. they probably say that every single time they have a new release haha
I'm pretty excited for this. I went and saw Bee Movie with my girlfriends kid brother and sister so we might have to go take them to see this one too.
I haven't been into Jack Blacks movies since School of Rock but he translates well into an untrained kung-fu Panda.

i enjoyed it. a little less funny than i thought it would be but the action more than made up for it. plus, its so funny to hear ian mcshanes voice without hearing the word "fuck" every other word. animation was a little spotty, as are most dreamworks films, but the voice cast i thought was awesome. if you like jack black then you'll like this. they portrayed his facial and vocal mannerisms nicely.

I saw it opening night. Despite the 14 year old girls talking behind me the whole time I absolutely loved it. Jack Black was great, and the animators captured his personality so well. But the best character by far was Dustin Hoffman. I couldn't believe how funny he was, I would have never expected him to pull off voice work like that. Seth Rogen and David Cross were great too, the only voices I didn't buy into were Lucy Liu and Angelina Jolie, it seemed like they dialed it in a bit. The action scenes were great and the rest of the film was beautiful. Go see it.

I really enjoyed this movie. Did anyone else think they kinda jacked some stuff from the matrix? For example the slow motion fighting (which yeah is used in a lot of movies now), and the fighting in the air leading to a crater in the ground? lol It reminded me of the matrix so much!

Lots of big names with small parts. I would of loved to see Seth Rogen as the Panda instead of Jack Black. I guess it is easy for Jack Black to play the overweight character though. I liked this movie but I didn't see anything overly special about it.
The funniest part (which everyone ignored) was when Seth Rogen's character, the Mantis, said "I wish my mouth was bigger." in reference to the Panda's soup cooking skills.
