I've heard some talk about the new Weezer album, and how it's again no blue or pinkerton. But people are missing what's under their nose which is Rivers' cd from last christmas, "Alone".

Rivers doesn't put his heart into it anymore, but it's all there on Alone. Take 10 tracks out of it, call it the White Album, pretend it was released around Blue, and it would be a legend. I've been listening to it way too much, and Yes it's as good as if not better than blue and pink.

I really enjoyed Alone, never heard anyone talking about it though. I thought the Ice Cube cover was really cool sounding. Also, the Songs from the Blackhole tracks on there are excellent. Versions of 'em have been around, but those were good, completed versions.

Is it OK to like This is the Way if I acknowledge how terrible it is? I know the lyrics are Rivers' worst (ever) but it's an R&B parody so bad lyrics are to be expected (even though I know Rivers probably didn't do it on purpose <.<). But yeah, Alone is pretty underrated.

didn't everyone hate it... so if you think its overrated you must really hate it...

I really enjoy Alone.... I don't mind the Red Album. I can listen to it and enjoy it. There are some songs I'm not a huge fan of, but not enough to make me hate it.
