Gotta say am so excited about this album. They have produced a string of great albums, perhaps not all to each's listeners individual tastes but all superbly crafted and wonderful, and there is no reason to think this will change. "Martyr Me", the first song to be made available, is brilliant and the album should be too.

Ya, I gotta say. I really like The Get Kids first sound they had. Wasn't really into their more mellow stuff.

It's like they took On a Wire, tried to use the same guitar tricks and riffs and part of Something to Write Home About's drums.

It fails.

But it's nota bad CD. it's just FAR too chill for my tastes.

Props to them for tracks 3, 9, 10, and 13. I hear STWHA coming through, it just needs to break back through for the next cd. In 2 years. BLAH.

Yeah I got it a couple of days ago too, and I think it's great. It's sounds like On A Wire with the synth and shit, but with hooks and catchyness like Something To Write Home About. Good stuff.

It's definitely a good album. The string arrangments in "Is there a way out?" are a beautiful touch, the varied keyboard licks throughout are pulled off swiftly, the song tempos are all different...

Everyone who says it takes us back to STWHA has no idea what they are talking about.

It sounds absolutely nothing like it. It is another On a Wire, with maybe two songs that could pass for STWHA.

I have to say I am pretty disappointed. The best track on the album is basically an intro track and is a short 1:33. Man of Conviction is fucking amazing. When I heard the song I was like OMG YES, this album is going to rule. Then the rest of the songs were On a Wire again.

Actually, they were not as good as On a Wire. I actually did like On a Wire. These songs are sub-par. Maybe they have to grow on me, though. I have listened to the album like five times though, so I don't know.

Zero standout tracks, besides Man of Conviction and Martyr Me.

I just love when people say I "finally got a copy of it"...as if Vagrant finally Fed-Exed your advance copy to you...

You downloaded it off Kazaa or something. Just be honest... you ripped it off. Thanks.
