The Strokes (http://www.thestrokes.com) will be heading out on a large, eight week, US tour beginning in mid-March and ending in mid-May. Rumor has it that B.R.M.C. and The Rapture will be going along for the ride. Dates will be announced later this month.

A few Things:
1. Unless the site has changed to "absoluteshit.net" then there is not need to post news about the strokes.
2. BRMC is far superior to the strokes, and should not be opening for them
3. The Rapture also sucks.

i agree with 2 and 3 of the last persons respones, brmc is much better than the strokes and what does everyone find so great about the rapture?

ForgetIt, you're a tool. Kamtin, I don't care what you post, so long as you know what you're talking about. You know indie. Go for it.
All of you need to realize that The Strokes make simple, but good music. Much better than anything usually promoted by this site. And The Rapture, how could you say they suck? They're an incredible dance/punk band that is more original than Thursday, Thrice or Brand New.
So stick to your psuedo scene and quit bitching about the good NYC indie acts. (not sure if BRMC is from NY)

I'm gonna go on a limb and say you're wrong. The Strokes write outstanding pop songs and BRMC are extremely intricate. The Rapture really isn't my thing, but they're damn catchy and I could understand how someone would like them.

For one the Strokes do not suck... I don't see why people hate them so much for the simple fact that they grew up rich and wear vintage clothes. Who gives a shit about who they are and what they wear, shouldn't the music speak for itself? And it does, simple, back to the basics rock with (more recently) Cars-esque influence among other notable bands from the late 70's. The Rapture are, to me, very good in small doses. Nice stuff to make you wanna dance every now and again, without resorting to "clubbing". And BRMC... they just kick ass.

Sounds like some people need a good dose of Nay-Say Spray...

The Rapture is very catchy and The Strokes certainly aren't bad. I'd catch this tour for sure if it was cheap and near me.

I think the last tour (with Kings of Leon) was $25 a ticket. Well worth the price of admission -- they played everything from Room on Fire and Is This It just before ROF came out (saw it at the Tower Theater -- night 2 -- in Philly. Having BRMC and The Rapture will make this tour even better.
