So today, i found myself on amazon.com, and i was looking at different list's that people make of their favorite albums. You know, like My Fav's of 07, or 25 CD's To Take On A Road Trip, or 15 Classic Thrash Albums, etc. Anywho, i found myself on one titled My Favorite Hardcore and Metalcore CD's. It was pretty much a small list with some of the persons favorite albums. The only thing wrong with it was THERE WAS NO HARDCORE. It was all metal bands and death metal bands, and metalcore(but not like Earth Crisis or Snapecase, like newer bands) and yeah. I started to realize that this happens about. Not just with hardcore, but with alot of gernes. Pretty much all of us know we don't have the same taste in music, which is understandable, but i know for us who have a passion for what we love (music); we can get hot headed when people start running their mouths about nothing they know. SO i wanted to make this for all of us to share stories about that problem. it could be something as simple as someone mis-labling bands, or stating facts about artist that you know is false, or saying retarted things like, Chad of New Found Glory should never had tired to sing for a band hahaha. Well you guys get the idea, so let us hear your stories.

I remember my friend shitting a brick because my chemical romance says they're metal on myspace. But other than that im not one of those guys who goes on amazon and gives a blink 182 album one star ranting about how its on mtv and not punk, but "poserz'. Then go on saying if you want real punk listen to yada yada yada. You see the same thing everywhere. One star reviews that go like "this shit isn't real {genre}, listen to {insert five steriotypical bands}. Its annoying.

Haha, I saw the video for it and once he held up the Fail sign, I knew it was destined to be.

Getting heated about mislabeling genres seems pointless to me. Who cares if someone thinks something is hardcore and someone doesn't think it should be labeled that. You don't like the band, you like the band, who cares what umbrella they fall under? Are you that much smarter, knowledgeable, or superior because you can point out others' genres "mistakes?"

Man, I've seen that video so many times and that thought never even crossed my mind. :hitself:
