Weezer's "The Blue Album Deluxe Edition" (one of my all-time favorite albums) and their DVD will be released on March 23th. Content of both can be found in the comments. Don't forget that they're also currently working with Rick Rubin on their follow-up to "Maladroit."

As previously reported here, the DVD will have over 3 hours of videos, mini-documentaries, live footage, and behind the scenes action dating from 1991-2002, and will have optional band member commentary on many of the DVD's selections. The Deluxe Blue Album will be a 2 disc set that includes the blue album and a disc with all the b-sides and a selection of rare and very rare tracks, plus a big fat booklet with lots of stuff to read and tons of pix, many never before seen.
can you tell us which b sides will be on the second disc. they have so many. i highly suggest anyone that doesn't have this album already buy it. "only in dreams" is one of the greatest songs of all time, and my personal all time favorite.

Well I hope their next CD doesn't completely suck... like most of the shit they've put out.
The lyrics are a joke.

So are you, but we normally don't say anything.

Sad to say, I agree with xmynosebleedsx. Blue & Pinkerton were two of my favorite CD's, and I love most of the B-sides, but I just can't get into Green and everything after. It's just so simple and dumbed down. It just doesn't seem like the same Weezer I was humming along with all through elementary school. :(

At least one of you isn't afraid to admit the last two CDs =W=EEZER put out were jokes.
To all you other ****** fanboys, give up. Until they make a NEW CD that doesn't suck, they're done in my book. They should be in yours too.

I believe the original quote was "The lyrics are a joke." Were you aiming for "the lyrics from the last two were a joke"? If so then you were quite off. I agree that the last two were very dumbed down, but still pretty enjoyable, depending on who you ask. I've heard that the new album is going to be very pinkerton-ish, which is VERY good in my book.

every weezer album has been completely different from the previous ones, thats what makes weezer so brilliant. i would be upset if the new cd was even remotely like pinkerton, but i doubt that will be the case. im expecting something more melodic, if rick rubin's colaboration with weezer is anything like his with the red hot chili peppers.
