Navio Forge (represent early 90's emo very well, vocals don't get much more emotional than this)
Yaphet Kotto (if you like On The Might Of Princes, you'll dig)
A Petal Fallen (one of the few newer bands playing older style emo, they do it so well, official site, www.apetalfallen.com, has a bunch of mp3s)
I, Robot (fans of Saetia, You And I, etc. will love them, possible reunion)
From A Second Story Window (one of the few newer metalcore bands I like)

top 5 bands u should be listening to right now...
5. Neil Diamond- this guy has done everything for music, is getting older and still performing to sold out venues of over 15000 people worldwide, quite possibly the greatest singer songwriter of his era.
4. Far From Heroes- why these guys rnt more well known is beyond me, Raining Bullets is by far one of the greatest pop punk songs i have ever heard, their entire EP is great
3. Nuclear Saturday- good pop punk/rock whos sound is unique, not generic
2. Not Long After- their new stuff is gunna blow everyone away, their old stuff aint bad either
1. Lucky Boys Confusion- Commitment is 10 times better than any other pop punk stuff out there on the market, go get it if ur into pop punk, u wont be dissappointed with the unique/original style and catchiness they bring to an otherwise pretty redundant genre.
beware, these recommendations are those who enjoy pop punk, and basically thats it. let me kno what yas think...

Matthew Good - I own five of his albums.. he's an AMAZING Canadian talent, not too well known in the States I don't think.. Beautiful Midnight is one of my favourite albums ever..
Pink Floyd - No matter how much time passes by, they will be one of the greatest bands ever, period.
Death Cab for Cutie - I had not heard of this band until recently, but they are amazing. I have never heard lyrics like those before.. they're just amazing..
The Juliana Theory - Great band, catchy songs, Constellation is one of my favourite songs.
The Rapture - Everyone should check out 'Echoes,' that's all I can say. :D

whoo! Lucky Boys Confusion owns. Commitment is one of the coolest cd's ever. I think Do You Miss Me? is there best song, but that's there best album.
5. Copeland-Beneath Medicine Tree is an awesome cd. When Paula Sparks is a great song. Something good to listen to when you want relaxing music.
4. Mindless Self Indulgence - hehe, there so awesome and totally out there. I've never heard anything like them at all. Awesome if you like techno-hardcore
3. The Spill Canvas - This guy can write. All Hail the Heartbreaker is an amazing song.
2. FM Static -This is probably the most feel good music I've ever heard next to Allister. Not the most creative lyrics, but still really fun to listen to.
1. Northstar - Is this thing loaded? is one of the best cds ever. This is the best band out there in my opinion. See if there first cd can hold you over till Pollyanna comes out on April 20th.

The only band you guys should be listening to is BLINDSIDE! their new album comes out in 26 days and "Silence" (their older album) is just plain amazing. they are from sweden and are well worth all the credit im giving em.

1)Park- I feel bad for anyone who hasn't heard this band or doesn't have "It Won't Snow Where You're Going"... It is one of my top 5 albums of the year
2)The Prize Fight- Awesome band, very unique; not sure if they'll ever get a large falling because of it, but I love em either way.
3)Boys Night Out- Another band that put out one of the top albums of the year... "I Got Punched In The Nose For Sticking My Face In Other People's Business" HAS EVERYTHING you could possibly look for in a song, I love it.
4)Drive By Punch-Read about this band the other day on this site, awesome three guitar attack with great melody. Wouldn't be surprised if this band hit it big anytime soon, when I get home from school, I'll be getting it in the mail.
5)Bayside-Didn't get around to picking up the album, but I have tons of DLs. Awesome band, can't believe LI is so consistently pumping out high quality bands... This is the next album I buy...
Good call on Northstar, been a huge fan for a while, am yet to see them live though:(
Oh P.S. Coheed sucked on Kimmel tonight... But its ok "In Keeping Secrets Of Silent Earth 3" is the best song of 2003.

Coheed and Cambria - my favorite band, end of discussion. geddy lee meets led zepplin meets rush meets.....who gives a shit. unmatched creativity. a beautiful voice. nice guitar work. structured lyrics with meanings that are almost too complex. they are just amazing. dont bother saying they suck, i dont want to hear it. big difference between disliking something and saying something sucks.
The Get Up Kids - the guilt show is a great cd, and lives up to the legacy that is the get up kids. catchy catchy hooks and happy sounding tunes that uplift my spirit. more synth and piano this time around, all in all a goody.
Fall Of Troy - fast paced and complex guitar lines a rather sweet scream. these 3 guys do hardcore a bit different. and yes, although they sound like a 4-5 piece, they are a 3 piece. good stuff here... hard to compare them to another band.
Gatsby's American Dream - this is an excellent cd with great lyrics that i like a lot. this guy has a super good voice without being a bitch like...justin timberlake or something. i dont really know what to say about them, its hard to compare them to others as well. one of the best albums of 2003, so just check out "Ribbons and Sugar" and see how you feel.
The Spill Canvas - this is what chris carrabba sounds like when he actually has something worth crying over. except, its not all crying. he also has some beautiful songs with positive messages about love and all it entails. he plays guitar, bass, and produced his own debut album, with a full band appearing on a few tracks. definitely one of my favorite cds of 2003 and was very much overlooked and underrated. check this one out, for fans of DC.

mr chainsaw, great call on mindless self indulgence!
my 5 are
circle takes the square - they're a hardcore band with some of the best lyrics i've heard in a while. i recommend the song "non objective portrait of karma" probably my favorite song ever.
jenoah - i didn't like this band a whole lot on my first listen but after a few more, they ranked on the top of my favorites list. try to listen to the ep and not bob your head.
the stills - this is a great cd to pop in and just relax. the songs are very mellow. they remind me of bands like minus the bear or deathcab for cutie.
new black - new black reminds me of the white stripes on crack. great stuff.
and last but not least,
h.i.m. - this is my favorite band of all time. i love every song by them and sing along with them every time. DEFINATELY worth a listen!!!
everyone should be listening to this guy..
