I love his music so much. Probably my favourite in the whole singer/songwriter genre or whatever you want to call it. His voice is simply mesmerizing and I could go on and on and on.

It's been so long since I actually put on something by Tillman. I feel so satisfied that I've rediscovered some amazing material.

It's so amazingly simple too. He rarely needs anything more than a guitar and his magnificent voice to do so much more than you'd think he could with that little.

My only complaint is that it's very top heavy besides the final track. That said, it's still one of my favourite records.

I've never noticed that really. Every time someone states that certain albums are top or bottom heavy, I don't see it haha.

I actually discovered Tillman through his brief stint with Post-Rock outfit Saxon Shore (who are pretty good). I adore Cancer and Delirium. His voice is haunting.

So I'm walking down the streets of Toronto and I see Josh Tillman walking by himself, grabbing something to eat. I had to double-take since I've never seen him personally - only in photo's. So I run back toward him yelling "JOSH, JOSH, JESUS". Dude stops, says hey.

So we 'lax it out for a while, shoot the shit. Asked him to play Master's House if he could. He nicely agreed to and gave me a call out before playing it (2nd to last song). Needless to say, dude is exactly what music needs today.

j. tillman is awesome. valicando territory blues is one of my favorite albums. for sure. also, if you look at the notes on david bazan's album this year, j tillman did some background vocals on a couple of songs. i cant remember exactly which ones but i know he did. pretty cool.
