amazing show. a bunch of random people opened for him. the best were mook and fair (waterbury ct hiphop) and flo rida (he hopped the barrier and came out into the crowd, and i got sprayed by him poppin bottles of champagne). weezy came out and the place went nuts. the place became even crazier when birdman came out. i was sittin 5 rows from the stage, the GA had seats which was a lil lame cuz some people fucked up the pics i was tryin to take but at the same time you had a place to sit and they had a part in preventin fights from breakin out

anyway i dont remember the order of the middle but im positive he played these songs:

-his verse from the "dey know" remix
-money on my mind
-duffle bag boy
-fireman
-you ain't know
-(he played "know what im doin" while he posed for pics)
-put it up
-go dj
-hustler musik
-(he also put on juvenile's back that thang up and did this dance called the wham)
-the sky is the limit
-i feel like dying
-prostitute fling
-a millie
-got money w/ mac maine
-leather so soft (played guitar to this)
-pussy monster
-his verse from "love in this club pt. 2" (thanks for remindin me claudi claud)
-i'm me
-gossip
-stuntin like my daddy (w/ birdman)
-we takin over (w/ birdman)
-pop bottles (w/ birdman)
-i'm a d-boy (w/ birdman)
-lollipop (w/ birdman)
-he ended by playin whitney houston's i will always love you and started lip synchin that, mad funny

a lot of funny stories from that show, includin almost fights, big dudes fallin on me, my friend gettin grilled by this tough lookin dude, a crazy chick takin her top off and a guy from flo rida's crew takin a picture

Looks a lot like the setlist when I worked merch for him a month and a half ago. I was pleasently suprised by the show and the fact he was on stage the whole time by himself besides when Birdman came out at the end. Actually a good show. The crowd was restless and booing before he came out because it was almost 11:00 PM and I think their was something like eight total openers but the place was bonkers the whole time Weezy played.

it might have been, idk, weezy was like yo im gonna bring it way back right now, and some mannie fresh soundin beat came on, and ive only really started listenin to wayne carter II onwards cuz im not a fan of when he had the southern rap thing goin

so its either from block is hot or carter 1

setlist edited, thanks for the reminder, that verse was fun to hear live, especially how the only line that clearly everybody knew in his verse was "call me so i can make it juicy for you"

a.) i was kidding.

b.) your funny. but not really.

lil wayne is a nonsesnical, " right time & place rapper ". he's garbage.

he won't be remembered 40 years from now.

anyone who's lyrics consist of rantings about the money he has and other irrelevant, shallow things doesn't deserved to be named in the same sentance as elton.
learn some respect, son.

im ashamed to even have wasted five minutes of my life responding to that ludacris statement.

to each, his own though.

... i guess.

a) im also kidding. i dont even listen to elton john so its not fair for me to make a statement like that. i only said that because you posted a set list of one of your fave musicians and im tryin to make a point how you shouldnt come to a setlist thread and just badmouth one of my favorite musicians. if someone came to yur elton john thread to badmouth id think thats lame too. i dont understand why you would view a setlist of a musician you dont like just so you can badmouth it.

b) ok a good portion of weezy's rhymes are about money. he has a lot of other rhymes, a lot better rhymes too, about a lot of other topics. one of my favorite tracks, if not my fave, is about hurricane katrina. he has another amazing track about the current state of hiphop. a lot of people also listen to weezy because of his wordplay and for punch lines with references that no other rapper could have thought of. i personally think some of his rhymes are clever.

c) 40 years from now? depends who you ask. elton will definitely be remembered because hes a bigger celebrity. but thats not just because of his music either. hes a big time tabloid subject too. i definitely think weezy has made a big impact in hiphop mixtape history as being one of the most guest-featured rappers.

you dont have to respond to this because i dont want you to waste another five minutes. just acknowledge.

very rational response.
a.) point taken. its very hard to detect sarcasm on the computer. my post was a joke. while it remains true that im not very fond of my. wayne, i didn't come in here to take shots at him. if you've seen any of my posts before, youl almost never catch me taking shots at a band / artist i don't like or even check out their threads. i really don't like his music, but i came in here to see what his set would look like cause ive never seen a rapper live in concert. i didn't mean to be negitive.

b.) again, point taken. to be completely honest im not familiar with much of weezy's material. ive heard a bunch of songs, trust me, but when i thought you were taking a shot at my favorite artist, i lost rationality. guess that's the fan boy in me =/.

c.) i guess i see your point. in the grand scheme of things, i guess he has made an impact on the mixtape world and is and probably will be huge in the mainstream / mtv culutre for a while.

im almost positive ill never enjoy lil wayne, but your response makes sense.

i don't mind " wasting five minutes " of my time when its on serious, rational conversation. i see your point now.

blame it on a misinterpretation of sarcasm and such. sorry for the hostility.

/white flag.
