I'll admit that Doom was pretty entertaining, however, the band was still pretty rock bottom and is only moreso now.

Listen to Circle of Dead Children and Cattle Decapitation. If you want to get cheesier than that, I guess you could try Cannibal Corpse, but I can't even take that.

I have heard of Maylene ATSOD. I haven't even checked 'em out. I've heard that they're basically just "scene metal," but I've also heard that they're pretty good for that classification. I'm doing up the new Sigur Ros right now, so perhaps in a bit I'll mosey over to their online outlets.

I think I'm just being nostalgic....they were one of the first hardcore metal acts I saw 8 years ago, and hearing that album performed live was absolutely mind blowing. I've never actually listened to their new stuff, except for 2 songs, and decided it definitely wasn't for me--and I was disappointed with how drastically they changed their style. Glad theyre still doing what they love though.
