I was wondering what the deal with Vizios are. I'm not hardcore about a TV like some people, I'd just like a nice relatively inexpensive alternative to some of the bigger name brands to watch TV and play games on. I've heard from friends that Vizios are nice for the money and for what I need it for theyre sounding good, but now I turn to the all knowing omniscient and all powerful AP members for technology opinions. GO.

How much are you looking to spend? What games are you playing? 360 with HDMI or just component? PS3?

PS3. Playing all that FPS shiz, and waiting for paychecks for TV before I get some more games. I'm looking around 450-600 I'd say. Like I said I'm not too huge on how perfect it's got to be, I'd just like a nicer and bigger TV than what I have (a 13'' haha)

Gotcha. Well with the size you're looking at you'll only be able to get 720, so it'll look good for gaming, but I wouldn't suggest getting Blu-Ray or anything just yet, even with an HDMI cable. And Vizios are good, we sell a lot at work.

I heard that towards the end of June, most LCDs are supposed to drop by as much as 25%. Do not get anything less than 1080p. You're just fucking yourself to save a little bit of money in the short term, and you're going to have to get a new tv anyways once everything starts coming out in full Hi Def.

O rly. Yeah, it'll be another few weeks before I've got the money saved anyways. I can't just blow an entire paycheck on one haha I need the money for other things like my continuous weekend adventures. I'll look more into doing a bit of research on some different TVs though. I'm not sure where I'd be buying it from because I'd have to balance the best deal with the place I would trust the most

Don't party one weekend and save an extra $100 or $200 and get something better - you won't regret it.

Costco has a ton of Vizios, and also has some pretty good deals on other brands as well. I got my new Philips TV for about 200 dollars off.

I was thinking BJ's Wholesale. They have Vizios. See, its like I don't need something so big, but I'm not sure how high quality of one I can get without spending too much. The money I earn now is also my money for college next year so I still have to strike a balance between a lot of things

Vizio is the best value. obviously not the best tv, but the quality is wonderful, and the price is hard to beat.

If you are getting anything less than 40'', DO NOT get anything above 720p. The extra pixels are completely wasted and it is pointless in every sense of the word. I shit you not, don't listen to that pile of shit that said don't get under 1080p.
Well you swore more which obviously means you're more credible. I agree with your point. Fuck that shit.

Old bump but whatev. I got a 26'' Vizio Saturday night. I'm not hardcore about TVs or anything and it's only 720p, but its a nice size for my room at home and for my room at school, plus everything I've done so far on it (PS3 and DVDs) has looked great. I felt like it was a good buy
