Which of these actors do you think is most overdue for an Oscar NOMINATION (yes, none of these actors have even been nominated before).
Note: Yes, Gibson was nominated for (and won) Braveheart, but not in the acting category.

I ultimately went with Winstone. While maybe there are better actors on the list, his performances in The Proposition (absolutely) and The Departed (probably) both merited nominations.

I went with Carrey. I don't even like him all that much, but he has done some fantastic movies.

I just like Gary Oldman so I went with him.

I guess Bale. I don't think Gibson has ever churned out an oscar worthy performance, sorry. And I can see Cusaak getting one in the future, but he hasn't done the role yet.

I went with Mel Gibson. Despite his recent crazy antics, I think hes a great actor.

I went with Christian Bale because I haven't seen him do a bad role in awhile. It was close between him and Gary Oldman for me though because Gary Oldman is an incredible actor.

Bale partially for what he did to his body for the machinist and then batman begins
Bacon and Sheen are definitely up there though, how did Sheen not get a nomination for Apocalypse Now?

Agreed. I just bought the two-disc edition, with the original and Redux yesterday (at Best Buy for $6.99), and thought the same thing while watching Redux for the first time.

jim carrey. an absolutely mesmorizing and versatile actor who was snubbed 2 consecutive years, but has handled with grace and class. Bale's time will come soon enough. winstone and oldman are fine actors, but have not done much oscar worthy work(besides The Departed and Sid & Nancy respectively). the same goes for sheen, cusack, glover, gibson and daniels.
after carrey, i would probably pick Christopher Plummer.

I didn't vote for him, but I think Carrey should have been nominated for Truman, Man on the Moon, or ESOTSM.

I love John Cusack, so I had to vote for him.

I voted for John Cusack. I don't think he really gets enough praise and I hope someday he lands a role that will get him an Oscar nod.

Christian Bale. Almost all of his recent performances have been excellent.

Gary Oldman. Every role he's in, you forget who you're watching.

I gotta say, if I gave Carrey an Oscar nom, it'd probably be for the Truman Show and not Eternal Sunshine. He MADE the Truman Show for me, while Winslet made Sunshine.

Carrey for The Truman Show. It was his first step outside of his normal role and was a freakin landmark.

I went with Winstone only because of his entire body of work. I do have to say that Bale, Oldman, Bacon, and Carrey were robbed of nominations. Sheen, Glover, and Cusak are all fine actors but while they have made some excellent movies, I can't say that I have ever been blown away by any performances they have given.

I didn't vote for Carrey, but what about "Man on the Moon"? If there was one I would have given him a nom for it would be that.

John Cusack. He's been in a lot of my favorite films and he performs amazingly in them. Though if he hasn't gotten one yet, I doubt he ever will.
