"Not a year goes by, man, not a year where I don't read about some escalator accident involving some bastard kid that could have been easily avoided had some parent, I don't care which one, but some parent, conditioned him to fear and respect that escalator." - from Mallrats, my all time favorite movie. And on that note we'll get to the recommendations for the week.

As I Lay Dying (http://www.asilaydying.com) - Not many hardcore bands can dazzle my fancy, much less get my attention. They actually remind me a lot of Hopesfall and are a must for fans of anything hard and nuts and stuff.

The Crystal Method (http://www.thecrystalmethod.com) - I picked up their new record, Legion Of Boom, this past week and though I didn't like it as much as their previous record, I still enjoyed it. If you aren't familiar with them, they are the perfect blend of hip hop, funk, and rock. I'd suggest you check them out if you are a fan of Head Automatica or blink182's "The Fallen Interlude" or anything you can groove/dance to. Yea, it's a guilty pleasure, deal with it.

Fall Out Boy (http://www.falloutboyrock.com) - I started listening to Take This To Your Grave again and was reminded that they are among the best that pop punk has to offer. It's hard for pop punk bands to stay consistently tolerable and replayable time and time again. If you don't own TTTYG, then die.

Transistor Radio (http://www.transistorradiomusic.com) - Some dude got me to check this band out about a week ago, and I am actually pretty impressed. They have a nice rock sound, that if developed could become something quite stellar.

Light The Sky (http://www.lightthesky.com) - I've enjoyed these bubbas since Mr. Tate discovered them and shared them with us all. Buckle up, cause these guys are the hot shit. They are a genius blend of pretty much every genre that is focused on here at AP and in our scene.

One More Recommendation
If you haven't seen Mallrats, we can't be friends.

The Crystal Method like spun between sets at Wbru's Birthday bash with rancid brand new soco and yellowcard and it was tortue I'm a fan of the fallen interlude when listened to as a whole with the blink cd but I could never listen to more fallen interlude type songs for a whole cd and I dont see the Head Automatica comparison ?

if you don't own tttyg then die?? I have the cd and it's not that good, completely overrated and listening you "where is you boy tonight i hope he is a gentlemen" time after time makes me want to kill myself
i have to disagree, fall out boy is awesome

wow, you're an idiot. fall out boy doesn't rip off taking back sunday lyrics.

they have the same vocal pattern on one song.
and that's perfectly fine if you have studied any music theory
cause everyone has atleast one vocal pattern or melody or harmony that will match up any other song out in the world.
and also, atleast the fucker in fall out boy can sing that pattern ON KEY
unlike the fucker in taking back sunday.

yeah, he can sing on key when he makes his voice all high and whiney. that does NOT make a good vocalist.

and chris march is a fucking idiot for saying something like "fallout boy is the best pop punk has to offer." no. just no.

I really enjoyed the new Crystal Method album too. It's not something I can listen to all the time, but if I'm in the right mindset I can stick my headphones in and bounce around to it for a while and really enjoy it. Like...rocktechno.

Correction: The Lawrence Arms are the best pop punk has to offer. Or Green Day. But that's just my opinion. As is March's with FOB.

to save you some time, the hypocracy [sic?] of my post boggles even myself
