haha. Rolling Stone has always been a fairly shitty music review source.

As of right now I would give it a 3.5, but I'm almost positive with the way it's growing on me it'll end up being a 4.

Because Rolling Stone reviews albums from other genres so adequately.

My friend bought it today and played it nonstop. It's not so bad actually. I was pleasantly surprised. Some very weak tracks, like that awful single Lollipop.

Yes. And?

Haven't heard this album yet but I sincerely doubt Lil Wayne is the best rapper alive.

Why do you expect RS to do something well?

RS is always disappointing. That top 100 guitarists list was just pathetic..

Agreed.

Top 100 guitar songs, but it still sucked as a list.

I mean, "Teen Spirit" in the top 10, fuck that.

Yeah, actually that might of been the list I was thinking of...either way, it's ridiculous--all of their "best and worsts" "tops and leasts".

Hmmmm.

Many already have. Most generations born within the '80s don't really look at Rolling Stone as the epitome of the "Rock & Roll spirit" that generations that predate us do. It was the zeitgeist of the times in the late '60s through the beginning of the '80s. However, I'd be hard pressed to find anyone under the age of 28 or so who actually held RS in the esteem our parents did.
