Rumor has it that since Gatsbys American Dream (http://www.gatsbysamericandream.com) recently got out of their contract with Rocketstar, many big labels have had their eye on the band. Aside from the subject, the band is getting ready for their west coast tour with Fear Before The March Of Flames (all the dates can be found in the replies section). Lastly, you can now order their new DVD at their online store (http://www.vectorsquad.com/gad/).

"To all the labels out there. Sign this band now! You have no idea how big they're going to be!" - KM

That's crazy. If i were a record label I would sign Gatsby's American Dream right here right now. They developed such an amazing sound on Ribbons and Sugar. It has a very new and innovative feel to it, while still rocking just as hard as any other. The singer's voice is like a drug and all the instrumentation is really interesting and shockingly powerful. I love this band. I hope they continue to make incredible music.

gatbsy will not make it onto mtv or mainstream, but they are not going to be big in that sense. They already are big as they have a huge supportive fan base all over the country and perhaps world. Their music is simply too unique and smart to be on the mainstream.

I'd have to dissagree, you never know what can crawl on to the mainstream these days, like a few years ago we or I rather was saying the same thing about thursday and coheed and thric, etc. but they've all left the underground....

p.s i love this band, i listen to both records all time, very unique band.

Gatsby's American Dream has been one of my favorite bands for awhile and so has Brand New so if they go major label and let it g to their head like Brand New I don't know what I will do!!

Zinja u have a very good point, mainstream is for thoughtless, hackneyed music... GAD could never be that ... EVER

This is sort of like comparing apples to oranges. Bands like Thrice and Thursday are ROCK bands that have expected structures, hooks, etc... and the only thing that doesn't make them easily digestible radio friendly tracks is how heavy some of them are.

GAD doesn't have any of the expected structure or singalong lyrics like either of these other bands. They arent a part of this whole underground uprising to the mainstream or anything like that. Hell their songs barely have choruses. They are amazing, but will never break like those bands did/are.

Gatsby is currently my favorite band, so I don't want anyone to think I am undercutting them when I say I don't think they will make it into mainstream. I envision it more like the stryder's success. People will be listening to them long after they are gone. And hopefully they won't be gone for a long time.

ive wanted to sign this band since i heard them.

i highly doubt any major labels will sign ANYONE at the moment. and indie's should be equally cautious.
