I don't know what it is but as generic as it seems to be getting I still can't help but love the sound of a high voice . Who do you think has the best "high vocal voice" in music?
Here's my list.
1. Anthony Green - Circa Survive
2. Craig Owens - Chiodos
3. Rory McCombe - Lexington
4. Claudio Sanchez - Coheed and Cambria
5. Jag - A Skylit Drive

Well you're right it's getting a bit generic and dull. The list you have pretty much covers it I suppose. To ask who's got the best upper range naturally without going into falsetto is a tough question. The answer is probably not any of those five people though.

In no particular order:

Vic Fuentes - Pierce The Veil

Michael "Jag" Jagmin - A Skylit Drive

Anthony Green - Circa Survive

Cove Reber - Saosin

Zach Dawson - Akissforjersey

Jonny Craig - Emarosa

Kurt Travis - Dance Gavin Dance

My favorite is definitely Jag though...

I don't feel Kurt Travis is all that good

I'm personally not a huge fan of Jag, that style has been over done. From First to Last, These Silhouettes.. they all sound exactly the same vocally. All good singers, but too alike.
I like high vocals when they have their own unique twist like you can tell the difference right away from Craig, Anthony or Rory.

correct. he and his dad are untouchable. and IZ vs. jeff buckley isn't really a battle because for 99% of people on this site that just means "somewhere over the rainbow" vs. "hallelujah" :nono:

I personally don't like the higher voice in music; it just bothers me.

Less Anthony Green, more Tom Waits
