Hey, hope everyone had a decent week. I've been having a good one.

I saw the bled on friday night, and i interviewed Murder By Death, and got shredded as well... it kicked ass. Haha. Then I saw Finch and Rx Bandits play at the Troubadour. Both shows were really cool. But whatever.... I guess me and my friend Ladd are throwing you down some recommendations... Here goes...

Slowreader - LP out on Fueled By Ramen - Rory Phillips and his friend Gabe team up to bring one of my favorite records I've heard in a long time. It's alot of acoustic and piano, but rockin' not all Gaymison Parker on your asses or anything. Dan Keyes from Recover sings on a song, and Jimmy Vela, Recover's drummer plays drums on this record as well. You can order the cd online through www.fueledbyramen.com ...

The Bled - Hotel Coral Essex ... I got a copy of this new Bled song, and it's so fucking good, i probably listened to it like 50 times in a row today, and James sings a lot in the song and it's really enjoyable when he sings. You'll be able to hear this song if you go see them this month with Poison The Well. It will also be on the Atticus Compilation 3 coming out in the Spring or early Summer this year.

Phoenix - United : I know i recommend this CD alot, but it's the best record ever, I listen to it everyday, it never leaves my cd player. You've gotta buy this disc. You can also hear their song in the movie "Shallow Hal" when Jack Black's dancing with those three girls on the dance floor, and also in "Lost In Translation" when there's this party type jam going on. It's a great album.

Salem - Love It Or Leave Me EP... ATTN: Kids who do not own this disc are not that cool.
P.S. Thank You. - WARK

Lost Prophets - Start Something - I liked their old record, and this new stuff blows it away, this disc is awesome, buy it at best buy it's only $7.99.

the lostprophets cd is awesome. They have songs that sound like Faith No More, then bust out something that sounds like J.E.W. and then bust into some sampling here and there. Its a great cd. Kudos Wark.

Those were pretty good picks but now check these guys out!

Bayside (Sirens and Condolences) - great Dark pop/rock album. These guys are killer and I bet that these guys will be next huge VICTORY band (Thursday, Taking Back Sunday). But really check these guys out they are awesome. Reminds me of Alkaline Trio. www.baysiderocks.com

Off the Record (Nothing New) - Really good Punk/metal album out on NEW SCHOOL RECORDS. These guys are soooooo awesome. They have an awesome live show and they are all really nice guys. They are from L.A. and everyone should go check them out. www.otrmusic.com or www.purevolume.com/offtherecord

Cursive (The Ugly Organ)- I totally forgot to get this album, I dont know why, these guys are one of my favorite bands now. They totally rock hard, They are sooo amazing, and I heard that they have awesome stage presence when they play. Seriously veryone should go buy this CD!

Mesawest (demos) - These guys totally rock. They are from the O.C. and are about to release a 4 song demo. They have a couple songs posted on purevolume and they sound killer! I hear they have an awesome live show as well. Everyone should go check these guys out, seriously. I creamed a little when i heard these songs. www.mesawestmusic.com or www.purevolume.com/mesawest

Coheed and Cambria (In Keeping Secrets...) - These guys are amazing, i don't care what you haters say, these guys rock my socks off. When i put in this cd, I rock out with my cock out, I let it all hang out with my wang out! These guys are so awesome, seriously. I've been following these guys forever. If you haven't heard them (which i doubt), do yourslf a favor and go get this CD. www.coheedandcambria.com

mesawest, you say ''i don't care what you haters say, coheed is great" man, i've never heard anyone on here say they hate coheed. and why not try to make some recomendations of bands that aren't as well known. you recomended coheed and cambria, cursive and bayside? those have been posted on here many times. better luck next time.

Coheed? I hate those wanna be prog-rock geddy lee sounding emo puffs.

and mesawest, bayside reminds you of ak3, only because they completely rip them off on a few songs from that album.

hmm...did anyone happen to catch the Gaymison Parker comment? Honestly, I'm not really a big fan of JamisonParker or anything but still man...way to be fuckin immature, Wark. you may not appreciate JamisonParker's music, but there's no need to bash them and pin the word "gay" on them, especially if youre not even using it right. I understand these are your recommendations for the sunday pick's but but there's better ways of phrasing what you were trying to say.

You should learn when to bite your tongue and not make the company you work for look immature. I know its not much to loose one view but that comment makes me not want to trust your reccommendations if i havnt heard of the band before.

why should you not trust his reccomendations over that? jamison parker DOES suck.
