Well, there's probably a party or two each weekend night, so, it's not like there's nothing, but half the time they are just frat parties with beer pong and people sitting around. There are good parties maybe once or twice a month. Although, I think it also depends on who you know.

Hell yeah UCSB does it better than Chico. I have a bunch of friends that go to Chico/visit Chico often and they always tell me that one weekend in SB is infinitely times crazier than anything they do up in Chico.

Here in Texas, State has the best (or worst, depending on your stance) reputation for being a party school. I'd say it lives up to its name pretty well; the drugs down here are ridiculous too. Pretty much, "whatcha want?"

let me tell you about one of the best party schools when I was in college, the school I graduated from. The University of Scranton circa 1998-2002..it no longer has the booze hound stigma it used to carry loud and proud. I can say it was cream of the crop party school, but now it isn't. I know some of you reading this will get upset BUT I am an ALUM of the best days in Scranton. Back in the day the Hill section looked alot different then it does now...We used to have Kellum Crawl one of the best college parties ever. Kellum Ct., which was an entire block would be shut down during the spring and we would block off the 2 ends of the ally. Every house would have 10+ kegs and you paid one price to drink all day LONG no matter what house you went to and there were about 20+ houses involved. The Scranton PD wouldn't bother you at all and the local beer distributors would sponsor it. It would attrat about 2000+ people but never a line for a keg and never a kicked keg. We also used to have keg races and I have about 7 t-shirts to prove it. Kegs'n'eggs every sat. any type of party WE had it. ALSO EVERY NIGHT SUNDAY-SUNDAY there was always a party. I mean HUGE parties. We weren't a greek school but each off campus house had about 5-15 people living in it and club parties, LATE NIGHT, around the world, cocktail parties,ect....My junior year we threw the biggest party at the end of the year and it was Insane, and every night was like that. There were no salons, no big pizza places excapt pepe's and the crap goodfells attached to pepe's, the bars had no signs, Oscars was called the Mulberry Street Inn and Cockeyes had no sign at all. There was amazing parties and some of the best party houses have been demolished RIP Stone House, Stucco ect...And RIB my fav. bars....Scranton used to be a VERY special PLACE for PARTIES...and those reading this thinking, She dosen;t know what a Scranton party is", BELIEVE me I can skool you on scranton tradition, my 21st birthday at my house on 320 N.Webster we had a REAL NYC DJ with HUGE CLUB AMPS in the middle of my living room and dining room spinning club music for 48 hours straight. I mean it was a place where people from HUGE party schools would visit nd say , "You guys know how to do it right" and let me leave you with my fave quote......

"...then they ask me where I went to college, and I say Scranton and their excited expression turns to shame and all they can manage to get out is 'oh,' because instantly they know no story they can tell can top what I've done. I don't need to say a thing, they just understand. They know that their wildest night of college is just a regular Wednesday night for us.
