Ill go band by band...this is from Feb 10 in Lawrence, KS
The Kinison-This band is absolutley horrible. I have no clue how anyone could enjoy them. They really pissed me off and the singer took off his pants what made it worse. They sounded like wannabe Blood Brothers mixed with the likes of the Strokes or Billy Talent with a little old school punk influence thrown in. But their sound doesnt mesh at all and they were extremely pitiful.
Murder By Death-SOOO weird seeing them on a stage...every other time has been on a floor but they were still phonomenal. This band is so good. And their live show is even better. It makes you move the whole time. What a great, great band. Glad to see them as I was supposed to 2 nights in a row but Adam ruptured his intestines or some shit so they cancelled one night.
SET LIST
A Masters In Reverse Physchology
Killbot 2000
Until Morale Improves The Beatings Will Continue
The Devil In Mexico
Those Who Left
Those Who Stayed
The Bled-First time to ever see them and fucking insanity is the only way to describe the live show. They were awesome and the whole place ignited. I got the mic about 4 times which was awesome. The highlights were "Get Up You Son of A Bitch Cause Mickey Loves Ya" and "Sound of Sulfur". Ive always loved these guys but never really bought into the whole "this band can change hardcore blah blah" but now after experiencing them live I see what they can do.
SET LIST
Sound of Sulfur
Spitshine Sonata
I Never Met Another Gemini
Get Up You Son Of A Bitch Cause Mickey Loves Ya
Ruth Buzzi Better Watch Her Back
Hotel Coral Essex (new song)
Dale Earnhardt's Seatbelt
Red Wedding
Poison The Well-Like my 6th time to experience the explosion PTW is live. As always they were insane and put on a great show. It was just as insane as The Bled and "Artists Rendering Of Me" is just phonomenal, best hardcore song ever. However even after a great set I left pissed because they left out "Nerdy" and "Slice Paper Wrists", without those it doesnt seem like a PTW show. Oh well they played some really rare songs that they hardly ever play like "12/23/93", first time in 2 years, and "Parks And What You Meant To Me" which was definetly one of the highlights. I was also happy to hear "Meeting Again For The First Time" because its my favorite on the new CD. Overall PTW put on a great show but only average for themselves. I think the crowd was more into PTW but The Bled stole the show because the lack of "Nerdy" and "Slice Paper Wrists". The whole 2 hour drive was worth it alone for "Artists Rendering Of Me". The Opposite of December stuff got by far the best reaction as usual and fans yelled it all night.
SET LIST
For A Bandaged Iris
Artists Rendering Of Me
Apathy Is A Cold Body
Zombies Are Good For Your Health
The Realist
Parks And What You Meant To Me
Meeting Again For The First Time

12/23/93
