heres one me and my mate have been working on, were coming from different directions on this and cant come to an agreement on the style. im swinging towards a tradgic rather heavy song direction, and my mate is coming from slow, Copeland-esque style. any comments much appreciated!

So hopelessly flawless

Breathless and to the point
Stories of sorrow are so bittersweet
Kept awake at midnight by the moons heat

Tonight we will tread roses
And breathe the fireflies that burn up in the air
Tell tales of grandeur and demise
We’ll keep our eyes closed to hide from the lies

These are the times I think we are determined to live forever
These are the nights we come together

I taste in spirit
The heights of your tenderness
We’re so far apart
That my soul builds the cavern that im treading the edge of

First off, I like it, but I think it could be a little longer with another verse, possibly that one be longer then rest and finish the song... lol I'm afraid I must agree with your friend, this is definetly more of a Copeland, mellow style of song... A good Copeland, mellow style song :)
