Sleeping At Last (Official Thread)

I don't even know if there are that many fans of them on this site, but if you are, feel free to discuss them here.

If you have never listened to them and are interested, check them out-
http://www.myspace.com/sleepingatlast I think many of you will be pleased.

love em. Ghosts is a fucking excellent album and the others aren't bad either

Ghosts is indeed incredible, but at the same time I think Keep No Score is great too. You don't think so?

Keep No Score has some great songs, don't get me wrong, but it just doesn't capture me like Ghosts does. have you heard Capture?

No man I haven't heard Capture. I saw one copy on Amazon for like $50. Have you gotten the chance to hear it or the ep that came before it?

They kinda sound like a more boring, more annoying As Tall As Lions.

Bumping this thread cause I've been listening to Ghosts a lot lately and it's just so damn good I want people to hear it. Also check out Steve's old review for Keep No Score if you're still on the fence as to whether or not to give them a chance- http://www.absolutepunk.net/showthread.php?t=149240

Guys help me out here. Give their myspace an honest listen and give some feedback. I can't be the only one who thinks this band is head and shoulders above most of its peers.

At least listen to "Currents" and/or "Umbrellas". If none of you are into either, I won't bump this thread again.

I'm surprised there aren't more fans of Sleeping at Last on here. They're an incredibly talented band. I remember the first time I listened to Umbrellas I got the chills. Needle & Thread is one of my favorite songs lyrically.

Woohoo, Sleeping at Last. I can't wait 'till it's my birthday to get s'more music from them. A Skeleton of Something More would definitely have to be my favorite song from 'em.

But love travels like a rumor here,
Losing form with every ear,
A skeleton of something more~

Bumping this because of all the news (http://sleepingatlast.wordpress.com/2009/07/16/new-album-july-release-artwork-title-more/) on SAL's new album.
Can't believe it's going to be released (kinda?) by the end of this month.

The new song sounds great:

The new song is great. This band is so underrated. They make beautiful music, indeed.

Yeah, I'm really digging Storyboards, if you haven't had a chance to listen to it yet, I'd definitely rec it.

Love them. My ex introduced me to them so they always remind me of the time we danced to "Currents" in his room. Prefer Ghosts to Keep No Score but I love that album too.
Is their new album out yet?

I haven't listened to any of their previous works, so I couldn't really help, but I love the album, hence the avatar change. Getting stoked for the show, I guess they're going to have all the strings that worked on the album at the show. Should be really good.

That would be sweet if they had the strings with them, but i don't know if that will happen. Last time they indicated beforehand whether they were having live strings or not. But anyway this album is long overdue for me. I need to get it. The first two records were phenomenal.

Awesome then they'll have em. I didn't know they said anything about it this time around. That rules. Hope they have strings at the Nashville show in November.

This new project they're coming out with it pretty ambitious... 36 new songs over the course of a year. I'm really excited.
