After a beautiful Valentine's Day, here are my picks for the week.
Long Since Forgotten (http://www.lsfrock.com)- I have to say, this band has NEVER let me down. After hearing their first album, I was hooked. And now, after they have released their second, even better, album. These guys are here with a brilliant follow-up.
Granddaddy (http://www.grandaddylandscape.com)- I like them, check them out.
New Fallout Boy Demos (http://www.falloutboyrock.com)- I can't wait till Jason, Kamtin and myself can say "we told you so!"
Feeling Left Out (http://www.feelingleftout.net)- Pretty good..check it.
We Are The Militia Group Vol 1 (http://www.themilitiagroup.com)- Honestly, for $3.98, you can't find a better comp.

New Fallout Boy Demos (http://www.falloutboyrock.com)- I can't wait till Jason, Kamtin and myself can say "we told you so!"
you told us so? most of us have known about fallout boy since before they were on fueled by ramen. we already know. theyre good. hell, i knew them when my friends in Punchline went on tour with them before EITHER of them were signed. and they will not save pop punk. the only thing that will save pop punk is if major labels stop creating new bands to match the indies.

ok, before you get your dirty grannies in a bunch, i wasn't referring to you finding out about them, i was saying "we told you so" as in we told you the new DEMOS we just heard were amazing, better then Take it To Your Grave. So when you hear them, you will understand. now go drink some of your prune juice

and holly? what punk bands have majors created? as far as i know...none. every punk band that is on a major has been signed to the major, not created

I have to start by saying that Chappelle's Show is the funniest show on tv after The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
I have to end by saying that you fuckers need to give us some new Fall Out Boy songs. The Jawbreaker cover that Tate posted was great and all, but I want to hear some originals.
That is all.

which bands have been created? tons. for example, story of the year, die trying, blah blah blah...bands with no credibility in the underground getting a major deal out of nowhere. everyone knows its true. or another hot thing is getting signed to a major before you even play a show, but putting your first record out on an indie so people dont hate you. except, weve caught on now.

are you a moron? story of the year was not created by a major. they were a band long before they were john feldmans pawns. they struggled just as much as anyone else. story of the years first cd was on an indie. stop being a dumbshit

And what indie label might that be? He's not saying they were created by and audition or anything. He's saying that major labels are up to shady games with creditbility.
have you ever heard of Big Blue Monkey? They were a band that was signed to a indie label called Criterion Records and they built a huge fan base in St. Louis and they began to spread throughout the country, They released a cd called story of the year and later took that on as their name. there is your answer to what indie label they were on and they had cred back in the day, and their music hasn't changed at all

Haha you keep telling yourself that they didn't go from half-decent pseudo-progressive-post-punk to a clone of the Used.
Give me a break. They hardly screamed on the EP.
kudos on the grandaddy recommendation. can't wait to see them with saves the day and the fire theft.
