Which summer tours are gettin' you goin?
PERSONALLY, I just heard about this:
The Transgressive 'Hot Summer' 2008 tour was just announced and it looks amazing. ESSER, LIAM FINN, SO SO MODERN, and OX.EAGLE.LION.MAN, as well as long-standing Transgressive favourites JEREMY WARMSLEY and ABSENTEE.

I wanted to go to a festival or two but none are close by and with classes I only have Fri-Sun to go anywhere.

Even though I've heard Dylan's shows have gone waaaay downhill, I still want to see him just to say I have.
edit: I thought 311 already came through Cinci?

I meant to put that in the past tense, but I went.
I saw Bob Dylan at Xavier a couple years ago and he was drunk/ cracked out but part of going is just to see Bob dylan. He's kinda like ozzy in the way he slurs.
EDIT: did you see OAR at miami when they played there?

Yeah, like I said, I want to see Dylan just to say I have.
OAR's actually come here twice since I've been here; I didn't see them either time though (tickets were around $40 and sold out pretty quickly). We get some pretty good free outdoor shows here though; each year there's one during freshman orientation and another in the spring. Since I've been here they've brought Phantom Planet, AAR, Head Automatica, Nightmare of You, and Blessid Union of Souls, among others; I went to the last 3. Also apparently Three 6 Mafia loves it here; they played 2 shows in less than 2 months this spring.

Wow that's some pretty good bands
Xavier's had Ben Folds, Dylan, The singer of Phish, and Guster

I went to The Soundtrack of Your Summer Tour, but only because The Maine was playing. I actually left right after haha waste of 30 bucks but not that many bands come through Iowa, so I took advantage of it.
But I'll be seeing Sing It Loud later this month and The Summer Set in August and of course Warped Tour.
