I'm thinking that they couldn't have made a decent visual representation of the song, so they just did some nutty stuff, and just had fun. I thought it was creative and damn funny.

yer i thought the video was funny, n purposly cheesy...it was more entertaining that most videos I seen lately...jst a band playing live at different venues cutting occasionaly to them messing around in a park or summit. K it werent the best, but far from awful..chill ur beans ;)

I was also kinda disapointed, because it wasn't a refreshment. SOTY, the used, and so many others did the fooling around videos, they're kinda pointless. I too was hoping that they would do something really unique and maybe tell a little bit of the story. Oh well.
