Here is a note to every single record label out there. Gatsbys American Dream (http://www.gatsbysamericandream.com)'s contract with Rocketstar Records has recently ended. Sign this band ASAP!

seriously.. they kick supremo ass... they remind me of coheed and cambria, without the gonad-squeezed vocals..

Kamtin just gave the million dollar piece of advice. He is 100% percent right. They are a goldmine waiting to be opened up. Unique sound but still as accessible as anything. Smart and witty lyrics sung by one of the best voices in this genre right now. Songs that you can just totally rock out to, dance to, and just enjoy. Once fans of Thursday, Coheed, and the like find out about Gatsby's it will be all over. Everyone's new favorite band. If you say you don't like them then you are just lying to yourself. This is probably the best band any label could sign right now. LISTEN TO KAMTIN, HE'S SOOO RIGHT.

all the northwestern kids know whats up and they're starting to invade cali. it's only a matter of time before they go big

you made my heart your home
so i snuck up on the rooftop
to peer down at you through the skylight to
find that you were setting fires

who sets fire to their own home?

I fell in love with this band a couple months ago and am now completely obsessed. What does everyone think of their 1st record compared to their 2nd?

I haven't heard their first record, but supposedly they were just ripping off Lagwagon.

LOL not even close, the first album sounded nothing like Lagwagon. I went to HS with Nic from Gatsby's, I've been hearing their stuff since before Why we Fight. It was a very good album, showed a lot of promise with some nice breakdowns...then Ribbons and Sugar came out as one of the best releases of 2003. Catchy as hell with amazing vocals, this band is destined for great things.

Gatsby is better then 90% of the stuff out their based solely on their devotion to breaking barriers in the genre. Great band, and I hope they blow up.

Didnt Mxpx start that? I think the lead vocals sound a lot like an old band caled Clothesline. I wonder if they are still around.

they're first album is good but not a 5 star. I would rate the second a six if I could. Ribbons and Sugar is the best. I can't compare them to anyone out there.

Yeah, I can't help but love Ribbons & Sugar compared to Why We Fight. It's just so....addictive.
