Hi all, I have a quick question for anyone that knows the facts:

Is there someone out there that has ANY idea what ever happened to Bayside's original bass player Andrew Elderbaum? I believe that's the spelling, I got it off Wikipedia as it's not on the first album anywhere that I could see. From what I remember from the Sirens And Condolences era he was actually the one that wrote 99% of the lyrics and I'm pretty sure that Anthony confirmed that one time when we were talking about the (at the time) new Self Titled album. Anyway, I've always felt the lyrics from that album are soo dark, depressing, hopeles, yet utterly beautiful...(much like all of baysides work, but this album much more than any others) and wonder often if he ever went on to do any other projects, writing, etc.

If anyone has any idea exactly what happened to him or if he did any more work give me a shout! I would appreciate it greatly and surely email you a high five right away.

Maybe he left for personal reasons.

There was some guy on here a long time ago, who was in Bayside back in the day saying he had the original contracts they signed and other shit. Maybe try and find that thread and try and contact that guy, it could be him, if not he may know how to get you in touch.

Sorry, haha (i fixed it) I have a really high resolution and sometimes I forget that not everyone else does...so I make fonts larger because I think they'll be unable to read it. Dumb. Thanks for the input so far.

I heard he killed himself because he was ashamed for being in the band Bayside.

Their drummer John Beatz Holohan (who actually didn't play on Sirens & Condolences) died when their van flipped in Oct. '05..definitely not Andrew though. I'm actually not sure at all about the original bassist, sorry.
