I just heard Punchline - Open Up and thinking about going to pick up the cd. Anyone know if it is good? I heard it is like Fall Out Boy so you can't beat that.

I have the EP they were selling at the concert I saw them at. It's 4 songs, but it's pretty long for an EP....it's quality, too. I would definitely suggest it.

I might be the only one who thinks they arent that good. On the new cd, it sounds like the vocals are almost drowned out by the music and the lyrics arent impressive either.

As for the fall out boy comparison, Punchline isnt even close to being in FOB's league.

Back in 1999, my band played a show with Punchline. I bought their first CD at that show (how to get kicked out of the mall). Ever since that show, they have been one of my favorite bands. They are awesome guys and awesome band. Their live shows are fucking ridiculous. I have been to more of their shows than i can even think about counting and every single time i have left thinking that the show i just saw was the craziest show i would ever see. i even broke my nose in the moshpit when punchline was opening up for juliana theory back in 2000. my little cousin has cancer and these guys even go visit her just because she likes their music they give a fuck about shit that matters. All I gotta say is that this band is going to blow real soon so pick up their cd and see a show. you'll understand. maybe this will help:
