Tatoos.

Who on here has one! I want to get one and my obvious question is: does it hurt like hell or is it o.k? Plus im a girl :lips: and im not really sure whereabouts I should have it, I just want it to be subtle and in a place where I can show it off or cover it up if I want to. Any thoughts? Please dont kill me for starting this thread! :nuke:

i don't have one but i'm thinking seriously about it,if you want one that you can show off but still hide it when you want, try the ankle,lower back or by the hip somewhere.

Im a chick - I just had a fairly large lower back piece done a week ago. I was under the gun for 3 hours and yes, it hurt like a mother fucker. I have another one on my hip that wasnt so bad, but its smaller. My next one is going to be on the back of my neck. Damn, SC0296 we think alike. :chinese:

i'm not a chick. i got 3 stars done on my wrist, i posted a picture in a thread a long time ago, if you want to see another i'd be happy to take one. while i was getting it done the dude asked if this was my first tattoo i've ever gotten and i said yes and he said "i'm surprised you picked the wrist, it's the worst place to get it done" and it didn't even hurt that bad. it took about an hour and a half to draw and fill. at first it's a little uncomfortable kind of like a little bee sting maybe?? after 10 minutes you don't even notice it anymore.

Haha......thats always good, I want to get 3 or 4...............One on my right pec, that says my middle name; maybe one on my wrist with (its small) a big star in the middle, and a smaller one to the each side with an X in each of them.........and one on my back maybe.............

to anyone who got their tats on their hip...did it really really hurt?? i have a pretty high pain tolerance but i want to be prepared and all
i want to get the word "forgive" and the word "forget" on my hips in the same font that they use for fear and loathing in las vegas. but i'm broke right now so it's just an idea

I would be really apprehensive about ever getting any tattoos. But if I ever do, I already have some ideas of what they might be.

Around my wrist like a bracelet would be a Grand Staff (that's the Bass and Treble Staves combined, in case you don't know music), complete with clefs, key signature, time signature, and notes and chords. I'm not sure what music piece I would use for the notes, but it would have to be just one really short line from it, otherwise it wouldn't fit around my wrist. It would probably be something classical, such as Moonlight Sonata.

Another idea would be chunks of connected puzzle pieces strung around the forearm. Also, I'm kind of intrigued by map elements, such as a compass rose.

If I ever do decide to get any tattoos, I will definitely be making an effort NOT to look like I'm trying to look badass.

no the ones on the hip dont hurt much at all. I got one on the back of my neck..and by far of my 3, that one hurt the most. The only problem with the hip is where you get it. It kinda sucks if you get it right at your pant line cuse when its healing it rubs a bit more, so you really gotta watch it and take care of it more. Make sure it doesnt rub too much other wise you may have to get it touched up a bit more

I was thinking of getting a star or a braclet done, but then again thats always on show. Its taken me ages to reply to this because my computer is fucked and it wont let me on the site! It is really annoying me now! And yay! you didnt kill me for startin this. :D

I have two tattoos, and some piercings... Its not as painful as everyone says or thinks.. You'll deal....

I think tats are cool when in memory of someone, but other than that I'm not a huge fan.
