anybody read this guy?
he's an asshole womanizer who finished law school and went on to write some books about his drunken nights of debauchery instead of become a lawyer. as much of a jerk as he is, this book is pretty hilarious, i think everybody knows at least a couple of guys like him, whether or not you still hang with them. i don't normally gravitate towards these types of books, but i really can't put it down

I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell is the funniest book I have ever read, and the only book I have actually laughed out loud for a good thirty minutes.

I love the reader feedback on the back where some guys says, "If you slep with my girlfriend, it would make me love her even more."

i made a thread a year go basking in the gloriousness of his book. such a terrible human being, but just such a funny funny funny funny book. i've never laughed out loud while reading, until this guy. his babydolls/embassy suites/TX story is one for the ages.

tucker max is really funny, but he isn't that great of a writer. he's lucky what he's writing about is so funny.

I have read this book outdoors in city parks and people walking by stop and ask me what I am laughing so hard at. I show them this book and they go "Oh, yeah! He's hysterical!" The Absinthe Dounts, and the Tucker Death Mix are some funny ass stories.


EDIT: Excerpt from a story: "10:06: The people at my table begin talking about energy healing. Everyone is mesmerized by a girl who took a class in it. I tell them that energy healing is a worthless and solipsistic pseudo-science. They think energy healing is a real science because the instructor of the girl's class went to Harvard. One guy calls it a "legitimate, certifiable science," while making air quotes with his fingers. I tell them that they are all (while imitating his air quotes) "legitimate, certifiable idiots" because they believe in horse-shit like energy healing. Two girls call me close-minded. I tell them that they are so open-minded that their brains leaked out. They all glare at me with disapproval. I hate everyone at my table."

I saw this book at Urban Outfitters a couple of months ago....I decided to buy it. I had no idea it was going to be so funny.

and so many girls try to deny it, that they could never get "played" i call bullshit on that one.
i'm still trying to figure out what the age is for chicks to really start going for nice guys, my last two girls have been 25 an 21 and there's gotta be some sort of medium between "fucking around whore" and "serious betty" (respectively). i've yet to find that medium, but i'm only 23. hell maybe i'm TOO nice.

ha, don't mean to turn this into a 'personal life' forum post. but i'm about halfway through the book now and it just keeps better and better, wellp, gotta put it down and go to work.

this guy is so smart.. after reading the book i went to his site and he has "advice" threads about how to pick up a girl and how to close the deal etc. i found myself shocked at how most of my friends have had almost all of those "tricks" used on them to get into their pants.. including me :-( .. guys.. if you need some help/advice go find those advice threads and read up! your game will go up for sure haha

It was a very unique feeling, to be so actively and aggressively pursued by guys. Now I know what hot girls feel like, being hounded by multiple guys at once. On one hand it is a flattering feeling because of the attention and the obvious desire for you, but it kind of leaves a mildly annoying and hollow tang, because you know that all the guys really want to do is fuck, and they only care about you because of what you represent to them, not who you are as a person.
