Since today is my birthday, I figured I'd post my recommendations before I become too inebriated to post some fine bands you really need to be listening to. If I typed this late tonight, I'd probably end up talking about Ludacris and Linkin Park or something. and now the news:
Waking Ashland (http://www.purevolume.com/wakingashland) - This band is incredible. I been getting lots of music in the mail lately, and this bands upcoming ep "I am for you" is one that stands out above all the rest. i cant even take it out of my player. Believe me when I say its splendid. The best piano rock band I've ever heard. More energy than Straylight Run, and just better than SoCo...which means they are in high company.
One Way Letter (http://www.purevolume.com/onewayletter) - This band is fronted by a girl. Don't get the wrong idea though. Her voice is ..rougher, I guess than most bands fronted by girls. Her voice works incredibly well with the energetic rock music put out by the rest of the band. And her scream..is just awesome.
The Trademark (http://www.purevolume.com/thetrademark) - If you are a fan of Recover, you'll be all about this band.
Chances Are (http://www.purevolume.com/chancesare) - I got their demo this week, and it is packed to the brim with rock.
Lost Prophets (http://www.lostprophets.com) - I finally picked up their new disc, and I must say quite frickin impressive. If you are unfamiliar with them, you're falling behind kid. The single all over radio now (Last Train Home) and "Last Summer" are the stand out tracks to me.
