I saw a few clips of a new movie with Will Ferrel called "Anchorman" (I think.). He plays a news anchorman (Duh!), from what I saw it looks pretty funny. At one point he was wearing a speedo on a divingboard with a drink in his hand and he screamed "CANNONBALL!" and jumped in...he looks funny with a mustache. Anyone else see this yet?

I don't mean to offend anyone, but I have to agree with the only 2 other people on this thread that are sane...Anchorman was a horrible movie. I only got 1 or 2 rerally good laughs...the rest was stupid. Don't waste yourmoney...wait till it comes out on video/DVD. Even then, rent it. It's barely worth the 3 bucks.

"Where'd you get your suit...the....toilet store?". Funniest movie this year thus far, Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle is still coming so it could be replaced (I love dumb teen humor). Overall I give Anchorman a B+.

The early reviews I've been hearing are quite good suprisingly, plus like I said I'm down for those kind of movies, though I do doubt it will come near Anchorman.

Well you said your opinion and I respect it, but no one cares that you didn't like the movie. There's no point to keep going on about how "dumb down" the humor was after you post about it already. You should feel stupid for expecting the movie to not be that way...I mean the trailers weren't misleading......Anchorman is clearly one of those movies where you turn your brain off for awhile

This movie is not for everyone...you'll either love it or hate. There is really no plot to it, just a bunch of random moments that dont even make much sense. So I can see why alot of people will hate it.
I personally love random comedy..so I loved this movie. I hate when comedies try and have some sort of cheesy plot to them. Like in "Old School" when they were trying to compete to keep the fraternity from being expelled, I found that they strayed away from the humor in order to create an ending for the plot. The best parts of that movie were the scenes when Will Ferrel was drunk and doing stupid things. They didnt have anything to do with the plot really but they made every single person laugh. I would much rather sat and watched the characters go to a bunch of frat parties and get drunk and do stupid things for 2 hours than watch Luke Wilson try and win the girl over.
Thats why I loved Anchorman...you just sit back and watch a bunch of characters make you laugh without having to follow any boring plots. If you go to a comedy with hopes of seeing a rich storyline then you are retarded. I dont know about you but I go to comedies to laugh...and laugh I did.
