Hey, i'm that pathetic piece of shit Jon Wark. You all hate me, and i don't give a shit. Oh. I brought my friends Dave and Evan, who both play in two of my favorite bands. I begged them.
Nirvana - In Utero - Rediscovery is such a great thing. It's been like 7 years since I've listened to this record, and it's amazing.
AC/DC - Back In Black - Great riffs, and rock the shorts on stage look.
Beta Factor - New Demos ... Nate from Finch's cousin's band. Saw them play live Wednesday night and their new songs sound great. They have two demos at their website(www.betafactor.com). Loren Israel (signed Jimmy Eat World) to Capitol records) is their manager.
Monroe - yeah you'll probably like this, www.purevolume.com/monroeca
The Mercury Program is a band from Gainsville, FLorida. They are my favorite band in the entire world. Yes. I like them as much as The Bled and Recover. Picture your favorite band and multiply their greatness by 30 billion. Yeah, it's kinda like that. Buy their record "A DATA LEARN THE LANGUAGE".
Hot Like A Robot - Saw them friday night, they went apeshit, and blew me away. The singer even broke his guitar. Sound a lot like Foo Fighters and Nirvana. Someone fucking sign these dudes. www.hotlikearobot.net
Oh, i'm still not getting sick of that new Yeah Yeah Yeah's single for "Maps".
Spacemen 3 - Taking Drugs To Make Music To Take Drugs To - Just buy the record you silly kids. It's "FAR fuckin' out, man!"
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Evan from Maida's Recommendations. Check Maida out at www.purevolume.com/Maida ...
Sherwood - We just played with them this weekend and they were some of the nicest people i've met, and great musicians as well. You can call them indie rock, pop rock, or perhaps cat versus dog rock, but whatever you call them I know a bunch of you kids will love their music. Go to www.purevolume.com/sherwood and listen to "The Summer Sends Its Love" and then say you were cool because you knew about them before they got huge.
Daughters - Brutal. Check out their album, Canada Songs, and be creeped out.
Story of the Year - I heartily DO NOT recommend this band. The only reason I am mentioning them is because their single is stuck in my head from riding in a car with radio only. You kids are smarter than this, come on now. Backflips do not equal good songs.
Dillinger Escape Plan - I just saw them last week, and it made me feel like a useless idiot for even thinking of ever picking up an instrument. I predict that their new album will be...uhh...good.
Revolution on Canvas - You have probably heard about this book already, but if not, it is a collection of poetry and writings from members of bands like The Bled, Rx Bandits, Finch, A Static Lullaby, and many others. Myself, and our singer Rob were lucky enough to be a part of it as well. It is a great book and 50 percent of the profits go to a charity for family literacy, while the other 50 percent goes back into pressing more books. So if you hate all the bands in the book then buy it anyway because they aren't supporting their coke habit from the profit. www.adastrabooks.com

Dave plays drums for Salem
The Sound - Shock of daylight heads and hearts, is one of the greatest
undescovered 80's bands of all time. they sound like echo and the bunnymen, joy division, and U2. definently my favorite
South - With the tides - Probably the best melodic, atmospheric rock, unique album to be released in the past 5 years. Totally original and fresh in every song
Boards of Canada - Geogodadi(sp?), really good electronica
Interpol - turn on the bright lights - A classic, always on at least once a day in the van.
Mercury Program (www.mercuryprogram.com) - Confines of Heat, awesome post rock band from gainesville. One of the front runners of instrumental indie music.
