Achtung Baby - U2

yeah that's ridiculous.
I love Entertainment Weekly, but that sucks
Chris Fallon
06/20/08, 05:51 PM
Amy Winehouse? No.
Listen, some of those albums deserve respect and are definitely well-received, but Jay-Z and Green Day should not be on that list. And surely there is a better Prince album than Purple Rain to put on there. In Rainbows isn't even the best Radiohead album - EW needs to focus on film and TV.
kearn1tm
06/20/08, 05:52 PM
Graceland and Purple Rain are arguably valid choices. The rest have no place in this list, especially considering how many seminal albums have been released since 1983.

06/20/08, 05:52 PM
the albums they picked by U2, Green Day, and Radiohead aren't even their best releases [The Unforgettable Fire, Dookie, Kid A; respectively].
and Prince?!
Chris Fallon
06/20/08, 05:56 PM
Graceland and Miseducation - okay, fair enough. I still think there has to be a better Prince selection in general (that could just be me though).
And what Madonna album? Did she have a s/t album? I am not a fan of her so I have no clue what her "best" is.

How about Nevermind, Illmatic, Straight Outta Compton, It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back, Fear of a Black Planet, OK Computer, The Blue Album, Pinkerton, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, Ready to Die, In on the Kill Taker, The Colour and the Shape, or Transatlanticism?
TMOLH is the only album that belongs on that list.

Pretty bad list. Also, I wasn't aware that Madonna was an album.

That is absolutely ridiculous to put Achtung Baby ahead of The Joshua Tree. 9 and 10 are jokes too.

damn, that must have beeeeeen awful My Chemical Romance were number one, Avenged Sevenfold, Fall Out Boy, and Lostprophets were in the top twenty, Papa Roach was something like 75, and bands with an undeniable impact like The Beatles were completely exempt.
I'm pretty sure it was voted on by 14 year old fuckwits with absolutely no respect for music.

I think they followed the rules that you can't list an artist more than once. They went with Unplugged which I believe is arguably the best album released by Nirvana.
Edit: Nope, I'm wrong. Radiohead is on there twice.
