ok first of all, thrice with dashboard? no no no.....and second of all, more than half of these venues are sitting venues which I don't think a lot of Thrice fans will go for...this is definetly not cool, but it depends on who the openers are....
Venues and lineup considered....this is just a weirdass tour. Depending on who gets the most crowd out there...either dashboard or thrice is going to get lots of negative response probably. LOL.
I heard other openers were going to be the get up kids and death cab for cutie.
If THAT'S true, then this tour just became fucking ridiculously awesome and I'll be there for sure.
Where'd you hear thta?

The Get Up Kids are listed as openers on the Riverbend website...
But DC at Riverbend? I'm not sure if that'll be such a good show...I wouldn't pay to see it, but I'm hoping I can work at Riverbend again this summer...

what the fuck. North Dakota gets a date and Wisconsin doesn't. That is load of shit. I know that there is nothing in WI but there is even less in ND.

nextstage in dallas is by far the worst/best venue in regards to sitting and the "pit"
i saw dashboard there his last time in
the venues pit is intended for the orchastra to perform during a play or an opera, which means it is designed for the sound to go up and out and have no stage sound come down, so while you can hear the jackass sing next to you, you can only hear the drummer and the acoustic from the actual guitar not the speakers, if you are up close you can get some of the stage monitor sound as well but mostly you could hold a conversation and hear perfectly fine
but sitting in the stands, good lord does it sound fucking amazing, its like you have them playing at the perfect level of comfort in your head, you can hear everything blended perfectly
also weird combo for dashboard and thrice but the have an overlapping fan base, girlsfriends to see dashboard while boyfriends go to see thrice, then leave to have sex the parking lot
i bet i bet

holy crap. i dont like thrice. im excited. its not that weird is it? i see it as thrice and dc are both semi popular bands and have been on mtv and fuse (i think, i dont have cable so i cant tell how much popularity they have through tv) so i think they are similar in that way. plus death cab and the get up kids are great. maybe i think its not mixed because i like all of them (minus thrice).

yeah, and seeing how thrice has came to WI twice in the past two or 3 years blows major balls. One was cause they were on warped, and one was with the deftones. Someday WI will get a headlining show. One can only hope

When I talked to the singer from Thrice, he said Death Cab and The Get Up Kids would be on the tour as well.
It's too bad that Dashboard has to be on the tour. It will raise the prices a lot, and force the show into terrible venues. Not to mention the DC fans...

Ahhh...why do the Get Up Kids open for DC? So what about stupid money. GUK have been around forever. Soooooo silly.
Where is more info about the Get Up Kids and Death Cab on this tour? I know they are, but for what dates? anyone know?

this tour is such a joke. i hope the bands will enjoy playing to half full ampitheaters and arenas all summer. larger clubs would have been just fine.

lol. Dashboard has become huge.
And yes, thrice gets lots of coverage.

Even though I think the choice in line up is questionable I was still going to think about it till I saw that both venues near me are charging $23.50 and $24(not including fees and tax). Why pay that much when you can see both bands for less when the tour isn't being funded by Honda.
Is it really that much?
ugh. silly honda.

I think that it is good to have them on one a tour. It will make it fun and interesting. I have seen thrice and Dashborad both and it will make the crowed just as dynamic at the bands.

I would be all over this tour if it wasn't going to be in an arena. Thice and Dashboard are awesome. Whoever thought up that combo is either really really retarded, or the most brilliant person on the face of the planet, and I'm leaning for the latter.

Maybe they're trying to cut down on the pits by playing arenas....you know, to protect the health of the Dashboard fans.

well if that's the problem, then why doesn't he tour with band that are as light as he is, rather than someone like thrice (who i'm guessing are going to get horrible reviews in an amphitheater).

the civic tour has usually had lineups of unlikely bands, not as much as this year though. and yeah, when I saw thrice last time the sound was terrible. granted the building was a million years old, but the other bands didnt sound awful, it was like I had to read dustin's lips and then go from what I knew of the song. They should go on warped tour again, I have a feeling they'd be good completely outside.
dude it'll be kinda funny to see the people who are there for thrice beat up the D/C fans when they start crying along with chris. seriously who the hell thinks up these tours, this shit's illegal.....
