So, it's been a rather long weekend for me. Flew home and spent time with my girlfriend and my good friend Chris, they met my family, and all that fun jazz. In the midst of all the introductions, my grandmother had a massive stroke and slipped into a coma. She had spent the last 3 days like that. I flew back into Denver this afternoon and recieved a phone call from my parents, she had passed away. I don't really know what to say or do. It's been a confusing couple of days. She was the kind of lady who always tried her hardest to make you understand that she cares. And that's what makes it the hardest. It's also hard to see my family react, there were some things I was told that happened before she passed, and it was gut wrenching. One of those things was that someone at the hospital had told my family that although she was still in a coma, she can still hear and understand everything. Before she had slipped into that coma, she requested one thing, pictures of her family. So that's what they brought. My mom and my uncle set all of her pictures of all of our family members and quietly let her know that we were all with her. They momentarily left the room and came back to find a tear rolling down her cheek, two hours later she passed away. She somehow knew exactly what was happening, and that it was her time to go, and with us all there, she did. With that said, my glass is to you grandma...

This is what I have been listening to today:

Death Cab for Cutie
The Postal Service
Steel Train
The Spill Canvas
onelinedrawing
The Format
Saves the Day
Le Tigre
Sherwood

woah. i lost both of my parents and i know that losing someone close to you like that is really hard man. just know that everyone who reads these posts and supports ap.net is pullin for you. and things will get better, as bad as they seem right now, it will get better. just make sure you let your feelings out anyway you need to. talk to someone or listen to music or do whatever it takes.

man im really sorry to hear about your grandmother. my dad lost both of his parents in the same year. my grandpa never smoked a day in his life, but died of lung cancer. my grandma smoked pack(s) a day and never got lung cancer. she got brain cancer and continued to smoke afterwards. anyway, im not here to pretend everyone needs to feel bad for me, so let me commend you on your recommendations.

my condolences to you and yours.
