As The Roots Undo: best album of 2004 so far. I know it was with them on tour in 2003 too, but yea whatever, it kicks fucking ass.

every breath is a bomb, awesome song. The entire Burn Piano Island, Burn album is.

CTTS isn't even that similar to them. If you want something like The Blood Brothers, listen to The Locust. It's like the Blood Brothers on crack + keyboards (plus The Locust has been around longer).

Yeah, I never said they were similar, just that I checked them out.

The reason that CTTS is compared to the blood brothers is because of the vocal duo. On a side note, I think the ctts album is overproduced... in a good way though. I watched a few live videos of them playing, and, they cant really pull it off as well. Maybe if they werent playing instruments their vocals would sound better, or vise versa.

Also, the new blood brothers album is more mellow and piano based due to Burn Piano being so "physically draining to play live". Or so I hear.

That is so funny to an overprivileged american who knows that he is overprivileged and feels like shit about it, but finds humor in shit like that.

and what did he mean The Blood Brothers on crack + keyboards does that not itself equal The Blood Brothers. obviously the formula being mathematical.

No, because The Locust are much more heavier and spazzy than The Blood Brothers ever were.

love the blood brothers (Birth Skin/Death Leather, Guitarmy, I Know where the canaries go, the shame, james brown, USA nails, fuckings greatest hits, and burn piano island burn)

i tried to listen to the locust, but it was just too spazzy for me, at least the blood brothers have some breakdowns. And like every Locust song is like a minute long, and it's just too weird for me, plus the costumes freak me out...

I like CTTS a lot but dont see that much resemblence to TBB....

A lot of bands are imitating them now it seems but some do a good job...
2 off the top of my head: Fall of Troy and They Came Burning.

The Locust is enjoyable, but no TBB.
