Name your favorites. I'd like to hear more. And I mean bands with permanent violin members, not just some violins on a few tracks.

The first that comes to my mind is Zox. Spencer is an excellent excellent violinist. I highly recommend this band to everyone.

Well there's Flogging Molly, they're on the same label as Zox. A Thorn For Every Heart had a violinist on their first EP, Silence Is Golden, which I thought was pretty good. Also, it's not violin, but The Stiletto Formal has a pretty sweet cellist.

And I don't know if I need to say it but obviously there's Yellowcard too.

Old New Model Army when they had a permenant violin player. Vagabonds probably is the outstanding example. There also used to be a band in Derby called Gorilla who had a violin player, they were pretty cool but they split some time ago now.
