A while back someone mentioned that the next Dashboard Confessional release, scheduled for later this year, was going to be a return to all-acoustic.
I'm getting desperate for more info about this. I'm a Dashboard addict and I'm just wondering where this info came from, and if it's reliable. Cause, like, that would be amazing.
And as always, I look forward to discussion about it with my fellow Internet geeks.

When Dashboard stopped doing so much acoustic stuff, is when I stopped liking Dashboard.
Yeah I had to basically beat myself with the new album before i liked it. I'd love to hear a return to form. Like..OLD form. pre things you've come to fear the most..

I agree, I'd love to hear the old style. But I love the new CD as well.

He definetely realized that transferring to a full band was not worth it.
I'd go back acoustic if i was him.

i like the acoustic and full band stuff.
the new record is really good in my opinion...Same here. I'm not sure if I even have a preference. I like the variety. I would actually be really intrigued to hear all of his acoustic songs performed full-band, and all of his full-band songs performed acoustic, just to see how they would sound. That's why I like the Summer's Kiss EP so much. That explosion of electric guitars at the end of the new version of "Ender Will Save Us All" is AWESOME.

No I of course still love dashboard, I just haven't listened to him in like...many months. I used to listen to it constantly as my "I'm being a big sad man" music, but lately Ive been doin that with Ben Harper and Ben Folds.
Recent constant talk about him though has made me get his albums back out. I'll always like his tunes. no worries. :)

i bet if you got on the dashboard community forums, there'd be some thread about the next release... i thought i was crazy about dashboard, but some of those people border on stalker crazy, they seem to know just way too much

yeah, my friend is obsessed with him, but she's in like a position where all the obsessive stalker kids would kill for because she works as a sound tech for them sometimes and so she talks to the band on a regular basis, and she's friends with mike marsh and his wife... and i always know when we're about to talk about dashboard when she starts off a conversation with "oh my god guess what i just found out, you have to swear NOT to tell anyone..."

Chris Carraba should just do the whole acoustic cd by himself maybe with some drummin' but basically all him. Also, what's everyone's opinion on his new hairstyle, i think it looks gay it seems to stick to his head somehow...hmm..different...

all she knew was that he's recorded some new songs, some sort of an ep at this point.. he played a few new ones at the uconn show with piano in it but she didn't really know anything
sorry lol.. i thought i could be cooler than that
just mentioning piano made my day. This obsessive pianorock kid is very happy indeed. :)

I don't care that everyone gives them shit, Dashboard is one of my favorite bands, hands down (no pun intended). I'll love them whatever they do, and I'll love them when everyone stops loving them. Their new release cannot come soon enough for me, but it better be out within the year, because I'm getting awful damn sick of listening to the same CD's! ;)
