that was basically the only sentence i had to know to get me through 3 years of espanol in high school. my weekend was good, went to an art show with some friends friday, worked saturday and sunday, that part sucked. i'm working this morning too. how was your weekend?

yeah I loved asking that in spanish class. My weekend was good too. Got drunk friday night with my friends, cops broke up the party :-( . Saturday I spent the day in our nations capital, went to the zoo and monuements. Yesterday I just watched soccer and did nothing..

I haven't done German for years but I can remember one classic line I put in my GCSE Coursework: "Unglucklicherweise ist das Schiff gesunken" (or something similar), translated as: "unfortunately the ship sunk".

I was a peculiar child.

Also, me and a few friends once formed a 'band'. You know, one of those crappy things you do when you're all learning instruments? No? Anyway, we were absolutely rubbish. But the first song we wrote had a one line chorus, screamed and spoken: "Es hat mir gut gefallen". It was funny, but immature. We chose that because it sounded bizarre.
