I don't know if there's much to discuss, but he definitely has some great solo albums, and in my mind is a rather under-appreciated singer/songwriter.
Oh and if anyone hasn't noticed, The Replacements are to me as Split Enz are to Craig. Which I guess makes Paul Westerberg my Tim Finn haha.
Discuss away.

Coming from you, this thread isn't at all surprising.
I don't think I'm ready for any of his solo stuff as I still need to get more Replacements albums. But I've seen some of his live stuff on YouTube and it's pretty solid.

Haha, it's probably mostly my doing. Much like Craig has Split Enz/Finn brothers love, I've got Replacements/Westerberg love haha. Not my absolute favorite band, but just artists I feel should get a little more recognition around here. They are up there though.
I think the re-issues that've been coming out have helped in that department, a little, as far as them gaining more recognition.

Haha, yeah. I feel like I might be getting kind of annoying with my whoring, but then I guess it'll never be as bad as AFG and his Pink Floyd worship, ha.
Yeah, definitely. The Pogues, another favorite of mine, have been re-issued fairly recently, which helps with getting people into them as well. Although for some reason, even though both bands re-issue series are on Rhino, the Replacements' CDs cost a bit more than the Pogues do. Which is a little odd, but whatever.

I downloaded 49:00 last week and I keep forgetting to listen to it. I shall have to do this when the CD I'm currently listening to ends. He's one of my favorite songwriters of all time, I've just been extremely busy and absent minded so it's sat on my comp untouched for way too long.
