Matt Squire Lost his edge?

I just listened to the whole 3OH!3 debut album "Want" today. 3OH!3 says Matt Squire produced it. There is only one single worthy song on the album, the discoteque "Don't Trust Me". This one song is Squire worthy. The majority of the rest of the album is T-R-A-S-H! Did Squire just produce the single or is he losing his edge. I know his forte is powerpop/pop punk, but wow. I never come away from a Squire release this confused and disappointed. I mean Jesus he MADE Panic at the Disco what they are today. Can anyone else help me out and explain this craziness?
