we get the greatest bands around here when they're all back from tour...
-the starting line
-the grand finals
-the prize fight
-my latest affair
-ritter
-long shot hero
-hidden in plain view
-left behind
aside from TSL and HIPV, most of those bands are breaking out of being a regional band and heading towards being national...anyone like any of those bands?

i <3 it, too.
- never really liked TSL much, but their accoustic album isnt bad
- havent heard much of the grand finals
- the prize fight played in my very own town not too long ago and i missed them!
- the rest i dont know who they are, except HIPV, but i dont listen to them.
you should check out the estate, 5pie, and hence reverie(who arent from PA, but thats where i first saw them)

I guess there is one, but I don't like what I've heard and it's a very very small scene..
Whoa. People close to me. PA kinda sucks... but some good bands have come out of here.
You guys should check out Settle.

Sometimes I wish I was back home in WA so I could check out shows in Seattle since I never did in high school. :P
I love Seattle. Every time I'm up there visiting my cousins there's always good shit going on.

I miss Washington...I didn't realize how much stuff there was to actually do there until I moved to stupid Indiana. I never went to a show for all 18 years of living in Washington and I regret it now that I'm in Ft. Wayne and I really want to go to shows and look at tour dates here and tour dates in Seattle and realize how much I'm missing. I miss the damn mountains too! I don't understand why anyone would want to live in Indiana. :P
Are you there for school?
Mercy Medical

Yea, I go to school in Ft. Wayne...I wanted to stay on the west coast and go to school, but when a school offers you almost a full scholarship to come play soccer for them and no one else you've sent letters to is really expressing any interest, you kind put aside what you really wanted and go. :) As much as it sucks I'm happy because I've met an amazing person while I've been here and the school's not horrible, it's just the state that sucks. :)

PA is one of the worst states for music. I don't like any of those bands. You want something decent that came out of PA? Try these
Don Caballero
Dark Day Dawning
Sequoia
Circle Of Dead Children
Hot Cross
Tabula Rasa
Yeah life has a way of sort of making a good path for us doesn't it?
This amazing person...is this boyfriendy type amazing? ;)
That's so great that you are able to be getting through school without having huge debt. You should be soo grateful. :) That's awesome for you!

I'm still going to have like $20,000 in debt because of student loans the school put on my financial aid, but I guess that's better then most.
The person is a really, really good friend. She's my roommate and we're the funniest damn pair you would ever see in your life. Here, I'll show you.
This is her (and she'll probably kill me for putting a picture of her here, but I'll remove it later)

Thanks...I love that jacket...wanna see the back of it?

I get so many comments about that jacket. My doctor kind of wigged me out when I went in to get my foot checked up on (I broke it a few months ago) and he said hi and introduced himself then kind of gave me a weird look that creeped me out because he was just staring at me...he then preceeded to tell me that he liked my jacket. :) I had some black people at school comment on the fact that they liked my "throwback". lol
hahaha. I was actually about to comment on it too. That's awesome. ;) haha. "throwback".
"THROWBACK JERSEY AND A THROWBACK CAP" - fabolous. :)
You're friend looks really nice too. That's great that you've met someone you can be so close too. Shows are all good and fun, but having someone fun to share life with it a lot more improtant i think!

I think that's the main reason I didn't really go to any shows while I still lived at home. I wasn't into music as much as I am now, plus I didn't have any friends that would go with me. My roommate and I were going to go see Mest, Fall Out Boy, Diesel Boy, and Matchbook Romance last month in Grand Rapids, but we didn't end up going. There's really no one here at my college that I'd want to go to shows with anyway. It's kind of fun finding a forum like this where I can find and talk to so many people that are interested in music as much as I am.
