I've been an Early November fan for about 6 years, but never really listened in depth to this album. Does it matter if I listen to the discs in order, as it's a story? Or is disc three the only disc in the story line?
What are your thoughts?

This should go in the official thread, but while I'm here I might as well say that I really like the first two discs alot but the third one (the Path) is hit or miss. Really hit or miss. The whole story line is kind of stupid sounding, plus it doesn't help that the guy telling the story sounds like a troll. But whatever, the music is good on it. The first two discs are just much stronger imo.

this is the only TEN album i really enjoy, to be honest. find a day when you aren't doing anything else, set about 2 hours aside, and listen to all 3 in a row. it's amazing, one of my favorite albums.

So listen in a row?

Yeah, listen in a row.
I would listen in a row. I enjoy the Path the most, but that's because that's where I see the entire story unfolding.

I listened to all of the Path on the bus heading downtown.
Do the first 2 cds have anything to do with the story?

That was probably a nice trip. I can only imagine what hearing the opening song was like while looking around at people. Anyway, I suppose the first two discs do have something to do with it, I would just assume that the father (Mechanic) was more of a rock album, the Mother was more of a mellow disc due to the gentle nature of mothers... and the Path would be the entire story laid out. I could be completely wrong, but I'm not sure...

It was funny, actually. I was tapping my foot to the track after "Guess What" and people were staring at me. So I flipped a gang sign and shit chilled.

Haha, flipped a gang sign. I'm going to have to put the Path back on sometime soon and listen to it again. I really enjoyed hearing the whole story progress. I think I remember hearing that they had to re-write the third disc seven times before Drive Thru approved.
