I had a thought.

What if a presidential candidate, regardless of party, WASN'T a tool? Interesting idea, eh?

It doesn't matter if you are voting for Kerry or Bush... You have to admit, they are both complete puppets. Everything they say is fed to them through a little bug in their ear. And the people feeding them are a crack team of partisan-controlled political science majors. It's like we're not even electing a person, we're electing a team of guys who tell him what to think and how to say it, even. Personally, I'm going to vote for Bush, but I still realize he's an idiot. He's just the lesser of two evils.

I propose that someone who is a REAL PERSON runs for president... I mean someone with actual opinions, someone who isn't crooked and isn't backed by a hundred billionaires who make their choices for them. Someone who is articulate and informed not because of a wire in their ear, but because THEY'RE ACTUALLY INTELLIGENT! Someone who makes a decision not based on what their party will think, but what is best for the majority of the nation? I mean, that's why we elect a "president" and not a "party" in the first place, isn't it? I'm supposed to be electing a candidate, not one of two parties!

I would vote for this person!

It's kind of sad that the United States is considered a democracy but we're living in a two-party system. What's worse is that I can't see a way out of this. Right now, in America, if you vote for a third-party, you are considered to be wasting your vote. Things should not be this way!

I don't know. I know that I just pointed out the problems and didn't really present any solutions, but this has just been on my mind.

End rant here.

Be prepared to be severly disapointed in life....Money makes the world go round......sure bush could make all his own decissions and think for himself.....if he had the money himself to finance a campaign for president, but since others back him, they want to see that their money goes to good use. So he has to bring on the poly-sci majors that feed him his speeches and all kinds of other shit.

Its just like business, it would be nice if one could run a business based on their own feelings and ideas, but they cant because most of the time there is a bank involved or shareholders, and they want to know that their money is being spent wisely, so you are stricktly controlled as far as how you can implement your ideas.....

This is why you have so many presidents who make a promise, but then they get elected and they dont follow thru, i.e. bush the first ("read my lips, no more taxes") im sure he was serious about that, but guess what, the people who back him financially werent, so that puts him in the situation of ok, to i raise taxes (which nobody will remember really in 20 years) or do i take a stand and lose the backing of my party?

Thats how the world works my friend......It would be alot easier for people to be men of their word if they all had enough money to back themselves, but they dont and this is the broken system we live in.
