Most people on here who know my reputation know that I'm a Drive-Thru nut. Hell, you can just look at my avatar and count how many of the bands on there are Drive-Thru bands. That said, I love Drive-Thru, but not blindly. But that I mean that virtually everything that Drive-Thru has ever released has rubbed me the right way, and I'm a fan of it. However if they released something that I didn't like, I wouldn't MAKE myself like it just out of blind loyalty to the label. Nope, none of that.

The only Drive-Thru band that I've ever heard that I don't really really love is Jenoah. They're enjoyable to an extent, but I don't know if I'll ever be a fan.

I hate how people say that Drive-Thru is generic and all their stuff sounds the same. People who say that obviously haven't heard much of it. Of course almost any given Drive-Thru band can be compared to a few other bands on the label, but as a whole they actually have a suprisingly large amount of musical diversity. Say it sucks if you want, but don't say that it's a lot of the same thing.

Think of it like this, would you love Island because they have Thursday and Thrice signed to them? Probably not because they also have hoobastank, saliva, and a bunch of R and B acts. I live in Omaha and all over the scene there is love for all the saddle creek bands, and I do love the Faint and Cursive, Bright Eyes is okay, but Im not really into Rilo Kiley, and I wouldnt listen to them just because theyre on saddle creek. I hope that made sense.

a label is a label...there are none i really like nor any i really hate.....and drive thru is no exception they've had some good bands (the benjamins, last summer, fenix tx, movie life, RX bandits, finch) and they've had some not so good bands (Starting line, steel train, allister, hidden in plain view).......so all in all there just another average label....

I agree, there aren't a lot of labels (if any) that I like every band signed... that is nearly impossible.

I was always a fan of Finch, but lately I'm slowly starting to feel disenchanted with the band. Like their kicking Pappas out of the band, and mysteriously cancelling all of their tourdates, and that HORRIBLE "Worms Of The Earth" song. Why do I get the feeling that they're gonna go nu-metal?

But if their new album sounds anything like "Falling Into Place" I will be one happy camper.

Even if you don't like the rx bandits you need to hand it to them that they are easily the most talented drive thru band even the other bands on the label have said it in interviews.

Anyways I feel the same way about drive thru that I do with most labels. Some great bands some medicore bands some horrible bands. What I can't stand is drive thru kids. They will like every band on drive thru and it seems like its all they listen to. Like if a band is on drive thru they get an immediate following, that just bugs me.

I like Finch, New found glory, allister, homegrown, hidden in plain view, all alot. I didnt care for the movie life much, and i think the rx bandits are alright. I love something corporate, the early november and senses fail. fenix tx was amazing as well.. rip. steel train is decent, and i have only heard one song from both jenoah and hellogoodbye.. i like the hellogoodbye song, and the jenoah is alright. the starting line is one of my all time favorite bands.

no problem....and about steel train, you really have to be in the mood to listen to their music, but if you are its quite good. Its just so far from what I normally listen too that I have a hard time getting into them all the time. They are really talented musicians though.

i did listen to jenoah and hellogoodbye cause of the free eps, but i didnt like it that much

Why should you really care about the label its just who runs the bands you should care more about the music aspect and how the bands play on the cd and live at shows. But i picked there good. i like all the bands moslty, i am not to fond of hellogoobye

i think drive thru is a good label. it seems that drive thru sets up all the bands to make at least one big label cd. we saw it with nfg and soco and im sure it will happen with others. i think what drive thru wanted to do with steel train is to show that they have all dif types of music on their label. one type gets kinda boring. in my mind i believe hellogoodbye is the mistake. i thought the ep was horrible. and hidden in plain view has the chance to be amazing if they went back to the way they were on operation cut throat.
