What do you consider emo?

I've heard people say, "Oh, I listen to 'emo' music"...
-But what do they consider "emo"?
-I think that any type of song that expresses the writer's true feelings and beliefs should be considered emo. Because the definition of "emo" is emotional. I listen to music all the time that I consider to be emo.
-And it doesn't matter how the writer dresses... that has NOTHING to do with it. It is all about the way that they feel inside. If you feel sad, then your music is going to be sad.
-Did you ever notice that when you are in a certain mood, listen to music that makes the way you are feeling stronger. Like when I'm pissed off, I listen to music that makes me feel angrier, like "I Hate Everything About You" by Three Days Grace.
-I don't know why people do that...
BUT I THINK WE ALL MIGHT BE A LITTLE BIT EMO INSIDE!!!
