you should still look into learning how to use mIRC you can get cd's acouple weeks before they're released usually and alot of rare things. Its better than Kazaa, Limewire, etc etc etc. unless you want once specific song. Then Limewire takes all esp Limewire Pro.

i use soulseek and it's awesome for me. i've had the head automatica record for a month or so, i got the lost prophets cd about 2 months before it came out..there are a few others..usually i'm good with waiting for cds though..

i've had mirc for a while i just have no clue how to use it

i'm usually good with this stuff too so i'm super frustrated

first open mIRC, it should open a little options window next type your nickname on there (choose what ever you want it doesn't matter), from there click the little dcc option part on the left side of the window, now under (On Send Request) click the buttons that says "Auto Get File" and (On Chat Request) click the "Auto Accept" now back on the left hand side under the DCC options part click the Ignore option and where it says (Method) change that to Disabled.

Alright now go back up to the connect part under category. There should be a little button that looks like a flower, see it? click that and change the server to EFNET, Random US will work or where ever in the world you are. Now click OK, that will close the options window and up on the toolbar you'll see a little lightening bolt click that and you are connected.

Alright now you are connected. Right near the lightening bolt there is a little button for favorites, just run the mouse overtop of it until you see "favorites" listed. click that. Under the favorites option click Add.

Alright you're into the favorites menu. in the category called channel: type "#absolutepunk" and then look down to the Network part and click the add button. Scroll down to EFNET. click ok. Now you'll see #absolutepunk listed under your favorites place. Highlight it and click join

You are in the room now, you'll see tons of people talking and listing stuff. All you have to type is "/msg ap-DCC62 xdcc send #6" , leave out the " marks. and it'll start downloading. It'll be in your downloads folder under MIRC on your computer. I hope that help's i know its a novel but you should be able to get it now. Just go through step by step. Its actually pretty quick

here you go i found you a quick link click this http://www.packetnews.com/index.php?channel_id=952 it'll take you to a web page now you'll see #'s that are in blue font click any. this will open up your mIRC and take you to the channel automatically (its that easy) then just copy and paste "/msg ap-DCC62 xdcc send #6" into the window and it'll start dling.

all it says is "you have a dcc pending set your client to recieve the transfer"

but according to my options it says i'm accepting files

alright go to view->options->dcc on dcc on send request click auto get and the minimize button and "if file exists" set that on resume if its not already on it and under on chat request click auto accept, then on the side go to "Ignore" under DCC and under Method get Disabled now try to paste that back in and dl it again and see what happens

oh no!. lol nah bulletkisses had the same problem and for some reason it wouldn't work with her but, go into options->dcc->ignore and set the method to disabled and uncheck the box that says turn ignore back on in:

awesome you can see what all is offered by typing in !Plist and it'll list all the cd's that are offered through xdcc, i didn't know if you had already knew that or not.
