I love this show and I generally have a pretty serious dislike for most kids. I don't think Kate's a bitch or Jon's in it just for the money (what money?? the kids cost them a fortune to raise), but yeah, of course they're stressed out, they've got 8 little kids, what would you expect? I think they're just exhausted 24/7 from lack of sleep and time alone. I know I would be if I were in that position. For what it's worth, I think they're doing a great job and seem like a really cool couple.

Last season, I don't think they had an actual episode at home once. They are always go to some sort of trip to like an amusement park, or are out trying to advertise for whatever book or item they are releasing next. Their kids are going to be mighty disappointed once they realize that is not how the real world is.

I agree that raising 8 kids is really expensive and the first couple seasons of this show really showed that and I thought while being a "reality show" really showed us into the lives of a normal family with 8 kids and could be sort of educational. Now, it's just lets see what they can milk out of TLC next and lets watch a whole bunch of spoiled kids run around. They are just really used to the life style now (well, Kate mostly. You can tell Jon doesn't want to do this anymore) and don't want to give it up.

Also, I probably wouldn't have a problem with this, if they kept the seasons short like the first 2 season (8 and 12 episodes each), but seasons 3 & 4 have been ridiculously long (31 & 41 episodes). Let their kids live a semi normal life for a change and only have the camera crew come in for like 2-3 months instead of pretty much all fucking year round.

This situation isn't beyond repair. Of course this show has been made to become more entertaining, its television. Take it for what it is. I'm sure they still live a semi-normal life when the cameras are gone. Once this scandal gets sorted out, life will work itself out and things will get back to normal. After this happens the show should end, this way its as little damage as possible and their lives can become (as close) normal again

Reality TV creates a certain amount of fame, a certain amount of pressure, plus the loss of privacy with cameras on you and your family 18 hours a day. I know in this case, from what I heard Kate didn't exactly treat her husband with alot of respect, but the show didn't exactly help their marriage.

no but i think they'd rather have their kids have a normal life, if they are in fact looking out for their best interest (which i believe they obviously are), even if they have to "bite the bullet" and not have really really nice, expensive, non-necessity things like Crooked Houses and having them being affected in the future by reality television.

i think they can provide a just as fulfilling life for those kids if they had jobs and worked, rather than exposing them to the world and inevitably paparazzi and complaining about it. what did they expect?
